Hey guys thanks for all the comments! I managed to drive it home yesterday at first it seemed like 1st gear had gone but by the time i was only a few miles from home it just miraculously drove fine shifting perfectly into 1st to 2nd then 3rd. Will post further info. One quick question tho... if I were to swap trannys does the fact that mine is 4wd makes this swap more difficult??

I checked fluid. Its fine and beautiful pink/red color. No grit. No flakes. No burnt smell. Thinking this may be a linkage problem but I am new to Pathfinders so if anyone can help that would be great!

Someone please help!! My transmission will not engage all the time. This morning it was fine on the ride to work but then I went to run to store and the transmission would not engage. I tried every gear. It would start to roll back in neutral then stop (even with a jolt). I would put it into drive it would move forward a little then try again no reverse no neutral. Finally got it out of driveway but now I can only drive 20 mph. I tried putting it in 2nd same thing and when I put it in 1st is stops. Its an automatic. Is first gear gone? Is it just fluid? Do I need a new tranny? I dont know anything about the tranny maintenance as I just bought it 6 months ago. Also when I bought it it had no reverse. Girl said something about it got thrown into R or P at 35 mph and R never worked again??? Someone please help me fix my baby!!
