Got the front fenders cut this week, was way easier than the rear, took about 4 cut off wheels with 1 grinding disk , and a can of herculiner. Definitely will have more than enough space to clear 35s when i install my SFD.

Haven't updated this build thread in a while, lots of changes happened to my pathy. Some include

 

-chopped my rear quarters

-fit 33s on a 2inch lift

-Bedlined half the truck

-removed front and rear bumpers

-longer shocks to accomadate lift

-Custom exhaust

-tail light guards

In the 17 years I've had my '96 , I think I've seen maybe 5-6 others with a carrier .

All were '96-'98's . Pretty rare around here it seems .

How did you cut the ones on the quarter panel? I know theres an extra skin behind it that you cannot cut,if you had pics of what the outside and inside looked for me thatd be great!

 

Rust blows. For those of us in the east, it's inevitable. That however looks quite treatable still. I had some spots that were rotten straight through. I simply ended up cutting them out like a cancer. And now I can fit 33's with no issues at all

Well i took my flares off this past weeked, was not a good sight at all , but i had to do it to fix the rust that was under neath , i was so upset at seeing the outcome of taking them off..

[2003 SE instrument cluster fuel gauge bad]

I'm having the same problem, my gas tank is stuck at 3/4 full, i just replaced the fuel sending unit and still the fuel gauge does not work on 99 SE

Never rode in on, always watched the races on TV though . Should only take you about 30 or 20 mins if you have access to a shop to remove the parts.

I will be, just gotta find time when the hoist is free, probably be a few weeks as right now we're getting the race cars ready for a meet and thats a bit hectic when there's 4 of them lol

I say go for it , i like the feeling of not having a sway bar lol.

I've got access to a full race team workshop (we have 4 drag cars) so getting it out wont be a problem

 

[New rear bumper for my "95 WD]

The bumper looks spot on, was wondering how you were going to incorporate the spare tire carrier onto the new bumper, i plan to do this eventually with my r50 it will be a little different than the wd21, but the fabrication of the bumper looks great!
