  1. Lol yea the radio isn't in yet because I need to pic cup some bulbs for.the ac controller since the dealership wants $12 ea and there is 4 bulbs lol...junkyard here i come again
  2. Well my r50 is a 96 that came with the auto a/c set up. I have finally swapped the controller out for the 2001 xterra version. I was gonna do a bunch of pics and a step by step installed but time, frustration, and life in general kept me from doing that. However it is in and I'll post at least the finish pic soon..... Also I used the relevant FSMs to complete the swap. Since mine was the automatic AC unit on the Xterras controller the fan selector number one it is still for the auto ,however I plan on switching that and rewiring it to make Number Four the last one to be the auto Also going from the manual pathy ac controller to the xterra would b easier more than likely b/c there is necessary modding that has to b done to get the xterra one to work...ie i had to combin the back half of the apathy controller to the xterras as well as make spacers to get the xterras to sit right to allow the radio bezel to ft right.. If ANYONE wants the wiring diagram for this swap then will post that to
  3. Yea I like the three dot push buttons on them...I will b diving in on this tomorrow hopefully.....just a little rewiring so shouldn't b to long of a job
  4. That's what I thought...just first time came across oem kyb products lol
  5. Scored a 00 xterra hvac climate control and noticed it was same size as r50 pathy's but the xterra's just looked better to me.. So don't know if anyone has thought about this or has already done this, but if not I WILL be doing it and will try to do a decent write up on it... I know that the plugs are different so there is going to be some rewiring involved but not to intensive as the operating system is roughly the same. I will be looking over the schematics for both vehicles and checking everything out tomorrow. So....Stay tuned if you want
  6. So at the local junkyard today where there is 3 rows of about 10-15 pathys a row and I notices a 1998 r50 had front struts that where black and said "Nissan" then under that kyb Japan.. Is this the same KYB???? did I just learn something new lol?
  7. Hubs came off a 96 Nissan Pickup (28 spline count just as r50), and I paid 10.00 basically after their core charge lol.... got whole hub and all.
  8. found a set of factory 28 splined manual hubs off a 96 hardbody. Gonna put them on now, just thought I would share my find!!!
  9. thank all it was the one bushing that sits under the oil filter....
  10. Need to replace some suspension bushings and I know about energy suspension and prothane bushings, just wondering if there is a particular brand (probable off ebay) that I shouldn't get for the pathy? I was looking at a company called ricochet
  11. yep that doesn't work either... God I hate computers lol.... need to either find another photo site or there needs to be an option for adding pics from computer folders .,...
  12. any company brand of performance bushings I should stay away from...
  13. thanks for the speedy suggestions... I am looking into the bushing now... will of course keep everyone posted
  14. forum link freezes and when I hit "x" it says: some options have changed, are you sure you want to exit. I hit okay and nothing... still looking through archives to find solution
  15. problem lies in this forum's image link button. it doesn't allow me to hit okay, cancel, or the "x" button...
  16. Okay so I DID look for this answer already...but to NO avail.. Here is the situation: Alignment done, vehicle drives straight and true, however if I turn left there is a spot in the turning of the steering wheel that there is little response and after I make my turn, what ever direction I turned the steering stays to that side when going straight. example at a stop sign the steering wheel and wheels or straight and aligned. I make a left turn, when I straighten back out the wheel will point straight but the steering wheel is turned slightly to the left. Same scenario if I turn right (wheels straightened and steering wheels points right) I am competent enough to have checked tie rods, and other related steering components. there are none that are bent or loose or worn out (ie bushings or bearings).. Since I am new to the pathy I don't know if it could be the steering column, shaft or R&P. Any suggestions?
  17. well got the profile pic to load lol so for now that's the only pic I cant get to load

  19. thanks KDJ...Ive been looking on that forum section...
  20. Hi everyone, my name is Chris and I am a Jeeper in a Pathfinder world lol. I don't know JACK about the pathy other than its not as popular as my jeeps were with aftermarket support, but that's okay because I know how to turn a wrench and weld so I am used to making what I want for my vehicles (that and Im cheap lol). Only thing I know is its a 1996 4x4 5sp with 258k miles. Runs strong with no drivetrain noises. It does have some type of lift w/ coil isolators and coils, ranchero shocks. It does have a LSD rear diff. Other than that I have no other info on it. The guy I bought if from got it the way it looks now from a buddy who may or maynot have done the work. The guy I bought it from never knew how to engage 4wheel drive so the years he had it, it never went off-road. I am curious as to the trim level and ways to evolve it into what its name says "PATH FINDER"... It is a DD and I DON"T do mud. What I do do is go places the bigger vehicles can't (hence reason I am a jeeper)... ... I have a bunch of questions and will as I always do with a new vehicle; search the living heck outta the web for answers to my questions but the ones that I can't find I will look to this community. Please let me know what info you need from me to figure trim level, lift, etc and lets start a GREAT relationship!!! Oh yea and I am in SC (Columbia area) and am always looking for riding pals!!!!!
