  1. Awesome, thanks for the feedback! I went ahead and placed an order with them, so excited to finally be getting parts so I can work on my truck again. It's like Christmas all over :lmao:

  2. Does anyone have any experience with 1aauto.com ? I've heard through the grapevine that they are reputable and have great customer service but I just wanted to see if anyone on here has dealt with them directly.

  3. So I guess we revive this thread for our dogs and such since my new one has been locked...OK, I searched but missed it. Thanks for the link here.

Finally, someone besides me who shamelessly resurrects long dead threads.

  4. Haven't heard of that series but I just finished watching a web series on youtube by ExpeditionOverland that was really good. Sadly no Pathys there either (Land cruiser 100 and Tacoma) but they drive all through British Columbia, Alaska, and Yukon over 40 something days. Honestly the film quality is a lot better than many of the new shows on TV.

  5. I was thinking of just ripping out the carpet, adding some drain plugs, and bed lining it. That's for another thread though.

If you do this definitely post some pictures and tell us how it turn out, I've been tossing the idea around as a future project.

  6. Well I found out what was wrong with that one too, a plastic plug on the break pedal snapped off and the deadman's switch opened up.

  7. I had it attached, its just that I was having trouble getting the holes to line up just right. But now that we got that fixed my daggum break lights have come on and they are staying on regardless, I have to disconnect the battery when I turn off the truck 'cause they stay illuminated. Any idea what that could be?

  8. Erg! I need help, I'm replacing the slave cylinder and I cannot get ANY pressure in the clutch pedal. I'm trying to bleed the lines but I can't get anything to happen. Also the line that goes into the slave cylinder and the hole in the screw are not wanting to line up I've gotten it close several times but never spot on. Any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong?

  9. If it's a VQ (and I assume VG) it already has 2 cats....

Maybe it does, I'm not extremely familiar with exhaust systems. It has two pipes leading into one metal oval that I assumed was one cat but I guess it could just be a housing for two cats and has one exit pipe.

HA! That was my first step. Hey, I don't know where in 'Bama you are from but, I'm heading to Talladega with a group of friends for a mud bog (not bringing any trucks) this Saturday and would gladly bring you my filler cap for free! At least I know that it's good?

I'm all the way on the coast right now so that wouldn't work, but I really appreciate it though. Y'all have fun at that mud bog!

 Ain't it great living in the "Dirty South"? My CEL has been on for over two years now. Mine is throwing the O2 and the emissions charcoal canister code. I wish I could give you some useful input on the dimensions of my aftermarket muffler but, I picked mine off of a '96 R50 at our local scrap yard for $40 (pipe and all)! It sounds pretty nice when I throttle it without the dreaded "drone" at cruising speeds.

I just got mine so I'm not sure what's setting the CEL off, I gotta go get it read by a friend of mine but I'm hoping it's just the filler cap not sitting right since that's such a cheap and easy fix but who knows.

  12. Changed the spark plugs (even number 6), wires, and distributed cap they where the original ones and at 180k there was nothing left of them. Then changed the fuel filter, which was also factory and the gas that poured out was so brown and nasty. Now it idles about 1k less than it used to.

  13. Curious as to why you're going to the scrap yard to get u joints?

Well I say scrap yard, we have a place up the road that's an odd mix between a car salvage yard and an auto-zone they sell new stuff, remanufactured stuff, and stuff you rip out of the junk cars yourself.
