Hey that looks really good. I like what you did with the vents there. How did you make the edges look so clean? Looks like you removed the vents and the surround trim.
Yep exactly that, both the surrounds and vents themselves were pretty busted so removed the lot. I then cut out the shape to be slightly larger than the hole and bent the edges over so they just slid in tightly at the perfect size.

Finally got rid of the factory installed A/C Vents that were long busted and replaced em with some good looking bodykit grille.

Changed fuel filter and gave the old girl a little service

It's actually off a Navara which I believe you guys call the "Hardbody"? Just needed a little modification to fit to the Pathy mounts

Had a Night run trip last night. Not too much mud but enough to justify giving the ol' girl a good wash

Took mine out for a play in some articulation territory, out drove a Nissan Safari/Patrol on one part then it was back home to attach a fold down table to the tailgate, fit my lightbar & EGT probe

When the words bent, idler & arm are mentioned you let out a sigh

Rehashing this old thread, Must still be a few other Kiwis around here? I'm representing the Bay of Plenty.

Yeah mine's easy enough to unbolt too if need be but I specifically designed the mounts so I didn't have to luckily

The only bad thing with having the intercooler is look at where the oil fill plug is. You have to take the intercooler off to put oil in. I know this because my Terrano is exactly the same TD27 engine.
Nope not a problem at all actually, just an optical illusion . Plenty of space to take the cap off & refill your oil. (obviously a funnel makes the job easier too)

wow, had no idea... really good to know.
Plus it can give people surprises when the bonnets up and they're looking at it going what's that? (Cue spray)

Thanks for the pics.
Never heard of the water spray on the intercooler, does it really make a difference?
It sprays over the intercooler?
It's basically handy for when you're in the middle of the bush when there's no air flowing over it and you're needing that cool air running to your turbo for that hill climb or bog hole. Definitely helps the boost wind up quicker, gets me up to 15 PSI pretty quick.
-
I like the water spray over the intercooler. Is that run from the wipers by any chance?
Connected up to the headlight sprayer pump (useless things needed a better use for that high pressure pump)
-
Ahhh yes. That's one of the latest additions. Steel version of a 93 Navara bullbar. Does a better job than the old chrome nudge bar. Here in NZ 90% of my offroad is in dense bush, so bending used to be an issue
