  1. Yes we do have an air hammer. I think we are headed in that direction! Lol! Thank you for the help and diagrams!
  2. We tried taking a 1/2 in piece of all thread with a socket the exact size of the bushing and a few thick washers on the other side to press it out with no luck. Hell we tried the half inch breaker bar until we couldn't put any more force on the allthread, and it didn't budge! I guess we're burnin that som bitch!
  3. Alright guys this one must take a special tool because we can't seem to get it out and it is the only thing that is stoping me from having a new front end on my old girl. And at 318,000+ miles she deserves it! Anyways it is the lower front a arm bushing. Here are some pics too.
  4. I saw a few at the junkyard, still had complete tbi units which is unusual for that place. I'm going to more than likely use one of the vg30i manifolds, it will make it so much easier!
  5. I was going to mount it normal with an adapter. But if all else fails, sideways. So to improve flow can I take out the center baffles and let it flow direct to the cylinders? As for the hood I was going to cut it and put a cowl over it.
  6. Lol like I said I was bored and yes it's duct tape, and cardboard!
  7. Mine just rolled over to 316,000 miles no leaks, no smoke, doesn't use any fluid. I couldn't be happier.
  8. Lol so I got bored and made a carby upper plenum mock up. What do you think? Weld it?
  9. So I was bored today and decided to make the mock up carby upper plenum. What do you think?
  10. Maybe my question will get answered on this post... I'm doing a vg33e swap in my pathy in the coming months. I'm starting with obviously a vg33e from a junkyard pull, moving on I’m using pretty much everything in this post accept for one twist I want to build an AWD street/off-road monster. To do so I am going to modify the infamous Holley 2300 like the one above for blow through use. Then I want to take a set of 300zx vg30et exhasust manifolds and a combine it with a gt35 turbo, intercooler, and all the other goodies. I just want to do something differerent. I'm thinking I should use the 350cfm but I might use the 500cfm depending on my fuel/ air needs. As for the question, since I'm using a carb do I have to change the distributor or will the Nissan coil and distributor work off of a MSD 6al box? (Just trying to save money)
  11. I called them this afternoon and he told me that they would be in mid to late october.
  12. I've looked over a few things. And I think I'm going to go with a carburetor after all, here is the twist. I have a set of 300zx turbo manifolds from a vg30et. I'm going to mod a holley 2300 for blow thru use. So with the question I have is since I'm using a carb do I have to change the distributor or will the nissan coil and distributor work off of a msd 6al box? Once I figure out everything I will need I'll post a build list. I hope to start working on this before Christmas
  13. I guess my main question now is if I have msd 6al ignition and coil can I use a tbi and keep the factory nissan distributor? And then take out all of nissans wiring and ecu crap? Or will it effect my gauges?
  14. I like how your engine is set up, but I think I'm leaning towards the tbi setup. I also like that intake that's nice!
  15. I'm not worried about the price of the cams, the lopier the idle the better for my application. =) And yes I was talking about the experimental engineering intake. Thanks for the info on that adapter!
  16. As the title says I'm looking to start an engine build. Here is my dilemma... I want to use a carburetor or a holley projection 2d on a pathfinder tbi intake converted for the holley size carb. My issues are 1. I don't know what distributor to use. 2. Do I use msd 6al ignition? Will this solve the need for a vaccine advance on the distributor? 3. Can I rip nissans Ecu/wiring out after the conversion? Also can someone point me in the direction of the best set of cams for NA torque? As well as the related parts I would need to upgrade the vg33e. Thanks guys!
