  1. Re-resurrecting for future viewers. The video shows pretty much exactly how to do it on a R50 Pathy.
  2. Thanks guys! It was the ABS sensor. Found it easier to just unplug the clip instead of removing it. The clip was right behind the spring bolted to the inner wheel well. Does anyone know if I need to remove the stabilizer bar to remove the sway bar links? Mine are completely shot and I thought I might as well change them since I've got everything off already.
  3. I am removing the steering knuckle from my '96 Pathfinder. I have removing everything aside from one last thing. There is a wire that plugs into the back of the knuckle. Does anyone know what this is exactly or how to get it off? Its a pretty fat rubber "boot" that is completely stuck. I have tried wiggling and yanking but its on there pretty tight. I will try to post a picture tonight or tomorrow. I checked the FSM but it didn't mention anything for the steering knuckle.

  5. Hello everyone. Have a 1996 Pathfinder SE thats been in the family since 97. Its seen its share of hauling, cross country and daily driving. I am in the process of fixing her back up. First car I drove, and honestly my favorite to drive. This is probably not the right place to put it, but I do have a couple of questions. One of which I will ask here: I am replacing a lot of the front suspension and ran into a slight problem. I was removing the front (passenger side) lower control arm, to take the axle and ball joint out. In the process of removing the lower control arm I needed to remove the "rear" bracket with two bolts. I began loosening them and the bolt closer to the inside of the car just spins after something became loose. I used my mirror and saw that the bolt is attached to something on the other side of the bracket/frame. It looks like a nut but its completely round and has grooves running up and down all around it. Was this welded on to the frame? Or is this some kind of special nut. Either way it is extremely difficult to reach with any tool. Any ideas? I will attempt to take a picture but its a little hard to reach. On a side note, I did search the forum and found: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/30965-front-rotor-install/ http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/11266-how-to-replace-brake-rotors-on-r50/ http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/28120-how-to-front-brakes-and-cv-axles/ all of which were extremely helpful! Anyway, if needed I will repost the above into a different thread but look forward to asking all you experts for advice!
