  1. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for how it goes for you. I dont have the dineros to do anything right now. Just spent a ton on sending my wife to a convention in July and our 10 yr anniversary is in November. I thought about the O2 sensor but figured a fuel issue. I am not mechanically inclined at all so it's all a guessing game for me. I know a mechanic I'm going to call and take it to his shop for him to diagnose, we'll see how that goes.
  2. This sounds like a problem I have also. Replaced distributor, plugs and wires, nothing, still happens. I live in an emissions free city so I cleaned out my catalytic converters, still happens but it has more power until she decides to stumble and stall. I'm thinking it is a fuel related problem also. It has the original fuel filter, most parts on it are still factory, so I'm hopefully taking care of that problem at the same time I get my valve cover gaskets replaced. One thing I don't understand is if it is a fuel problem wouldn't it be harder to start or stumble and stall shortly after starting? It NEVER happens to me until its warmed up and especially on hotter days.
  3. I will give it a try but they've been leaking for a while. I parked it so I wouldn't blow it up. It's also showing low pressure once it warms up but there is enough oil. Hopefully getting it all taken care of within the next few weeks. I've been working OT to save to get it fixed.
  4. Ha, after the Marines I worked there for a few months, that was back in early '95. I do miss being back there too. Ive been to UNF quite a lot but not since around 1998. I think Im afraid of the rocky areas is because Ive seen what damage can be done and I dont have the $$$ to fix what I break. And break something is what I'll do, I am very good at breaking things. lol! Ive had my Pathfinder for about 3 yrs now and have a wish list and almost all of what you posted is on it. Right now the most pressing is valve cover gaskets, throttle gasket and fuel filter and Ive been waiting for 4 months now to do that.
  5. Yes, WA is a Far, Far away place I only dream of now. I see you're from SC, I lived in NC for about 6 years once I got out of the M.C. Its a small town about 45 minutes northeast of Charlotte called Albemarle. Moms side of the families from there. It looks a lot like the Puget Sound area, where I am now. Green everywhere!
  6. My name is Jason, husband and father of 2. Ive been trolling here every now and again and thought it high time I start posting. Originally from FL. where 4Xing is much different, extremely muddy, where I had a '94 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4, 5 speed, 4" lift with 2" body lift, 4.10 gear ratio and 34" TSL Supper Swampers. I find the Pathfinder easier to drive, no so big, but really want to beef it up a little more. I am by no means mechanically inclined but consider myself a pretty good driver, slow and steady. I spend the majority of my time working or with my family but enjoy target shooting and putting around just barely off the beaten path. The rocky areas around here do scare me just a bit but dont mind trails and sandy areas. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.
