I've been thinking about this problem too. I was going to take mine to have the seal replaced on the front windshield. It seems like the dull roar that I'm experiencing is from the wind blowing over the trim around the windshield. I do have a sunroof with cracked rubber seal so it can be grabbing air too and causing a roar. I guess the answer is to just replace rubber and seals that are catching air until you quieten it down. Every little thing that catches air is causing some form of subtle vibration and subsequent noise. The only thing that ages and changes shape and form is the runner and plastic in the trim.

My 1993 has ABS on rear breaks only. The speed sensor went out on it a couple of years ago and it will cost me $360 to replace (if I take it in for service0. I think the ABS "switch" is always on now since the light came on and has never gone out. One day I'll fix it. Regardless, I don't specifically about your 95 model but based on mine they made rear-ABS only for awhile.

I drive mine on-road more than off as well with occasional snow/ice here in North Carolina. I've had General Grabber, Goodrich All-Terrain T/As but my favorite tire(s) so far have been the Michelin LTX M/S and Michelin LTX M/S2. I have had three sets of Michelin LTXs. The first set was put on in 1994 when I bought it used. After that set I went through General Grabber and a set of BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As then I went back to a set of Michelin LTX M/S. I just put a set of Michelin LTA M/S2 on it. Each set of Michelin LTX that I had went over 75k miles with a smooth ride an excellent rain traction. I was more concerned with rain when I first bought these tires since the PF was light in the rear. The other tires wore out around 30k. I'm at 233k on the vehicle now so the set I have on it will get me to 300k. I've had no problem going up 20-25 degree slope in snow with the Michelin tires. They are not off-road/mud tires but they do pretty good with rain, snow, and ice and an excellent ride.
