  1. I hope I am posting this in the right section. My delima is about my 99 pathfinder se. 120,000 miles to date. I recently bought the vehicle less than a year ago and have run into a issue with low end power loss. When I first bought the pathfinder all was good. I knew I needed to replace the timming belt as the guy I bought it from hadn't changed it yet. Well as most things I jump into I felt mostly confident in be able to do this belt if I just took my time with it. Well as things went along I noticed that some info in my chilton book didn't quite match perfectly to my rig like the indents for the timming marks. I have the marks on the cams and the back of the timming cover match up, but the crank doesnt have any indents or the back timming cover either like my book said it should. Upon inspection the passnger side cam marks align with the marks on the back cover but the drivers side appeared to be a tooth off to the right. I went ahead and moved forward arfter getting the #1 piston to TDC and pulled the old belt off and tried what seemed like a days worth of attempts to get the new belt on but could never get it to sit in the right oreintation to the timming marks, so after resigning to the defeat I towed it to the closest shop which was just three blocks away to have them put it back on for me. A day later they called and said it was ready and I went to get it. But since then it has this spot that is unresponsive when pushing the accelerator. It always does this below 2000 rpm. It seems fine with all the power as before above two grand. I've changed out plugs and wires with no affect. Only code I get is the random multipul cylinder misfire code. Idles just fine, very smooth, doesn't miss when I snap the gas pedal. I can't feel it miss when I drive it. I'm wondering if the timming belt is off still if it would make it behave like this? Sorry for the long winded description. swoop
