  1. It was a T-Bone as i was crossing over to the center lane, but he sent my car out five feet at that 45 degree angle, which is why it looks so off.
  2. me too. indeed. feel like i jumped back a couple years, got no car to go anywhere with. yessir. me and my passenger bumped heads but thats about it.
  3. not sure. Ummm. I believe both front and back. As in the holes for the lugs or the middle section? I know the actual casting should be solid. Not sure. This happened today so who knows if it'll even get fixed. Thanks for all the input though guys if it does get taken care of I'll let you know.
  4. So I purchased a set of used 100mm spacers recently, and put them on with no issue. Just the other day, I started to hear a ticking noise coming from my right side. I'll pull all of the tires out, sand the mating surfaces, try to anti seize (since i didn't do both the first time), and retorque. I'm just wondering if thats what I should be doing or if there's something I'm forgetting. Here's some pictures (video below) Front Right Close Up Rear Right Close Up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KoOOAaZVC4 ^Link for the Video^
  5. So I updated my ride thread, but I figured I'd ask in here as well, might get a quicker response. I picked up some OEM Armada wheels and just wanted to double check, if I get 6x5.5mm spacers, will that work the same as if I were to bore the hubs? Currently they dont thread because the hub is too small, and I don't know of anybody around who would be able to bore em out.
  6. So it looks like it's missing that shift from D2-D3? Or maybe I'm just not on the pedal correctly, not sure. It won't miss any shifts when you punch it. Along with the fluid and filter change, would it beneficial to pour in some tranmission additive? Talked to the pops about it more and he said that a valve might be sticking.
  7. So I guess I'll be doing a drain and refill sometime next week to see if it cures the problem. I took a video to while I was driving trying to duplicate the problem. The non shift issue was easy, went from 30-80 in the same gear maxing itself at 4k rpms. I couldn't duplicate the 2k-1k double drop though. I can upload it if you'd like it just takes awhile.
  8. Alright, I'll try that tomorrow and report back to you with the results.
  9. Heya, I was curious to know if the things that happened to me tonight are a sign of something bad lurking in the near future, or if it can be resolved with a simple tranny fluid drain and refill/filter. So basically tonight, I was watching my tachometer as I was driving home, and I noticed after I would let off the gas, it would go from 2k, drop down once, drop down again, then idle at 1k. Also, I found that when punching the gas, on one occasion it went from 30-60 in the same gear. Furthermore, trying the same thing going up a hill, the car stayed at around 40mph and maxed itself at around 4k rpms. I'm really not hoping this is a sign that my tranny is going out but it just seems so. Thanks in advance for reading and your responses. 2001 Pathfinder 3.5 Auto Tranny.
  10. Ahhhh.....welp. My bad. LOL. That is true though. Same concept with the air bag kits I assume? Most use them to go up but they can just as easily go down.
  11. I'm super interested in this project o yours, and I'm glad I'm not the only guy here thinking the stanced route. If you can get this to work oh man that'd be awesome. It's what I had in mind for Pathgrinder originally, cambering out some fat diamond steelies. And if these coils work then it means I won't have to go as large and get to go a lot lower. KEEP ME UPDATED. PS. Just realized you live in AZ. I'm gonna be moving to Phoenix at the end of this summer We should definitely meet up, kick it, and such.
  12. Heya everybody. I'm in the process of changing up my exhaust system right now. I recently swapped out the back resonator for a piece of 3.5" piping striahgt back, and wanted next to swap out the stock muffler for a Flowmaster 40. I've seen a few on pathy's and I was wondering if anybody knew the dimensions on the piping running into the stock muffler. I know the 40 is a 1 in 1 out system and the stock muffler is a 2 in one out. Therefore I wanted to see if anybody knew the diameter I'd need to get on a Y pipe to weld in. Thanks, Chris.
  13. your pathy is beautiful. just. beautiful.
  14. Awwww snap. I had one of those in the school auto shop about a month ago, those stock rims on the Astro's actually look pretty coolio, the meshies with the lip on them. If only those suckers were 6 lug. Ahhhh, I see. Yeah I was only about to scoop out his profile picture. Sounds good, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Oh lawd. Ahah. I'm unsure if I should go that route because my first car was a 81 TE72 Corolla with cut springs and bump stops, that thing was a shaker. In a bad way.
  15. Took a look at his profile, man that thing is not bad. Curious to know how he got his claimed 2.75" drop as well. Definitely what I'm trying to aim for. Feeling noobish right now asking where the build thread section is...but I could post up a couple pictures wherever if you're curious ^_^
  16. Exactly. I have no purpose keeping it up high really. But thanks for all the input guys, I can see the issue with the tapering of the spring now that a few folks mentioned it. These cheaper springs will probably end up costing me more in the long run since I'll have to replace the strut towers it sounds like (if there is a replacement that is). So it sounds like I gotta stop being a cheapskate and pay up for the ones over at 4x4parts. I think my plan with that then is to try and tuck some 22's underneath with some negative offset that is flush with the fender flare...not chrome wheels though. Never. (Honestly I'm scared to see how you folks would react if I posted pictures aha.) But once again thanks!
  17. Follow Up Question: Any other Nissan springs that are compatible? Wondering if a set of 350z Springs would be up to the task, but then again I understand the weight difference between the two. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/3557693401.html
  18. Asked over at NICOclub, but I figured I'd try hunting on here as well. How's it going folks. Just looking around on the internet for ways to lower my R50 Pathfinder at the moment. I know that 4x4Parts has the lowering springs for $400, and no offense, just seems pretty steep for only 2" of movement ya know? So I was figuring if it would be possible to pick up these Ebay Springs that seem exactly the same for the 2WD R51. I have a 2WD R50, so I was unsure if it would work or not. Also read up on the difference between the two on the rear suspension. Any clarification on the matter would be great. http://www.ebay.com/itm/H-R-LOWERING-SPORT-SPRINGS-SET-NISSAN-PATHFINDER-2WD-MODEL-1-9-F-1-8-R-DROP-/230828177735#vi-content And there's the set. Thanks in advance.
