  1. So I have a mysterious chatter (gurgly) that happens at lower speed/coming to a stop and I don't know where it is coming from??? When coming to a stop it happens most frequently (back pressure?), and seems to be somewhat intermittent. I had the passenger side exhaust manifold studs addressed last week and the excessive exhaust noise on that side has gone away. The transmission seems to be shifting fine (reverse works great too). When it is chattering...I can put the pathy into park and it goes away and idols quietly. It really is most noticeable at lower speeds (below 15mph)...and I can't seem to tell if the noise is happening or not at higher speeds, but it seems to go away. Any insight on where this noise may be coming from/what it is??? Thanks in advance for any ideas!!! 95 SE 4x4 with approx 87K miles. (automatic)
  2. I recently purchased a 95 model pathfinder (automatic) with 87K miles...the transmission is shifting fine...but this forum has me concerned. I need to have it flushed soon...but what type of oil should i put in...traditional or synthetic? Also...when I turn the wheel...it sounds like sand on plastic ....is there a way to lube this? Any tips for lowering the amount of creeks/squeaks from the rear end of the pathfinder...on the highway it is fine...but side streets it is quite noisy... Thanks for you help...
