  1. Sorry to double post, but im not sure how to edit a post from my Ipad...

Found this during a search on the seat subject:

I can't imagine a WD21 seat being much better, but they do bolt in. The SE trim seats are far better than the XE trim seats, but they're both a plenty in the junkyard.

might be worth it to take a chance on R50 seats... You could also PM "silverton" for clarification...

  2. Here is how I fixed this issue, ymmv... In my 93, i never noticed a difference and could never convince the suspension to stay in touring mode for more than a few seconds according to the light at the switch. It would hit a bump and the light would come right back on. Well, about a year ago, i replaced the rear springs woth Moog's, and cleaned all four connectors at the shock tower and performed the torsion bar height adjustment per FSM in preparation for a cross country trailer tow. Now if i press and hold the switch to touring for 10 seconds (or so) the light goes out and the ride becomes perceptibly softer and more absorbant on bumpy roads. My original rear springs were extremely saggy, and my theory is that it wouldnt let the suspension sag for some reason. A cheap(ish) way to test might be to put in those spring helper air bag things that you stuff inside the springs...

  3. Sorry i cant give you any useful information, but Im curious about this as well, my drivers seat is torn (read: 5" hole) and id like to replace it with something newer in which the heaters actually work, mine are not functional... I wonder what is compatible? I suppose you could fabricate an adapter plate of some sort... How are you set up for welding?

Maybe an R50 owner can chime in with measurements for the mounting locations... I can measure mine on my WD21 tonight or tomorrow, whenever i get home...

  4. If you need a temporary fix (living in a rainy summertime climate like me) you can use an inner tube from a road bicycle (size 700c tire) sliced in half and use Shoe Goo to bond it in place, kind of a silicone type of adhesive, but its super strong and pretty durable and has so far been resistant to uv rays. Its been "temporarily" on there for about three years now...lol. I actually forgot about it until I read this thread, since i never look up there... It doesnt look as clean, but it keeps the rain out... 😬

  5. Where in Florida are you looking er i guess given this threads age i should ask if you found one already? Im in the orlando area and just picked up a JDM engine for around $700 from a place near the airport (MCO). Tearing it down and replacing my vg30 which decided to do something horrible to the timing... Havent looked into exact cause yet, but #1 cylinder has 0 compression, so its swap time!

  6. Just wondering if there are any console updates? I just found this post, which has been informative, thought provoking, a little frustrating, but DEFINITELY entertaining, all at once! Great ideas about your console, I love creating things that suit my lifestyle better than something stock (just started on a custom CB enclosure to go on top of the radio stack on my '93). And I like seeing what other people have created too, gives me great ideas!

Keep up the good work, would love some more pics!

  7. Hi all,

Let me start by thanking everyone for this awesome Forum! I am so excited to be a part of it and learn from such a well informed community. My name is Mike, I live in Southern California (USA), and just picked up my new (to me :-) ) '93 pathfinder. It's completely stock, has 149k miles, is a 5 spd, and absolutely beautiful! I have heard great things about their off road abilities, and cannot wait to put it to the test! Thanks again for the great site, I look forward to getting to know you all!

    Mike
