  1. Thanks for the info, and WOT: I know its not an easy task, but I must do something for the trans
  2. My mechanic did all the work lol, he made the manifold and every custom work. I will shoot a video so you can see what is visible of the work that was done. I will try to post some street pulls, when I have a passenger with me that can video it The tranny well I guess switching to manual is an option or reenforcing the auto but i will talk to my mechanic and see what he tells me.
  3. The transmission slips from 2nd to 3rd when im at full throttle when the dyno shows a peak of 304 HP at the end of second gear. Any idea how to fix that transmission slip, besides lowering boost?
  4. Yeah i know, im getting a Haltech ASAP and later some pistons, plus do you know if the tranny can handle the horsepower?
  5. Well the parts list inlcudes a Tial BOV, Tial Intercooler, the turbo is cheap and for the turbo to work properly and FMU was added for it to deliver more fuel with a fuel pressure regulator and walbro fuel pump and other stuff. exhaust is 3" all the way no cats or resonators and if I am not mistaken the muffler is a dynomax. I am working on brakes and then I would be adding a Haltech. The driving video, I will try to find someone to video it since I am a lone driver
  6. UPDATE See last page for trans update front pic with black headlights. Plus transmission will begin rebuild this monday! Just thought it would interest you guys My turbo path dyno video, plus a look at the dash with gauges http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOOV_yd58Ao Leave comments here since my friend is whom uploaded video on youtube
  7. Ok so hopefully I will get the headers installed next week. For now, I know that the pulleys a friend of mine who has a path said something about the lock or something like that on the pulleys that do not fit the pathfinder, so I am counting that mod out. I also ordered a greddy emanage ultimate so I can really get some power from all my mods and I am also looking at make it spin to higher RPMs, since the VQ35DE works best at high RPMs. The y-pipe seet up will depend upon the cost of the headers and high flow cats installation, since I do not want to pay that much because later I will be paying for the emanage ultimate installation and tune. My last dyno with K&N intake and muffler dynoed at 181.4 HP and I hope that the headers and high flow cats will add about 7-10hp if im lucky and then aim high to get the most HP from the emanage ultimate. For those of you interested in a little more performance, my tuner told me that I could get a pressure regulator (instead of the emanage ultimate) and lower the air/fuel ratio to 13.1-13.5
  8. Yes, it is cheaper to simply pull them off and rune tube from the cats, but the high flow resonators that I have, I do not remember the brand (i think flowmaster or magnaflow), neither the price because I paid everything together (muffler, high flow resonators, exhaust tip etc..) If you really want to save some money, I would recommend talking to the muffler shop and asking which parts they recommend, so you can buy them yourself and only pay for the installation because I spent more money for stupidly buying the pieces from their expensive shop.
  9. I have a 2.5" dual in/2.5 one out. Im pretty sure that I kept the stock tubing but replaced my resonators(except the one very close to the stock muffler) with high flow ones since they were leaking but if you are in a budget just eliminate all resonators if your old ones are rusty or something like that. And get a borla muffler!! lol
  10. I will take some pictures of it later today. Meanwhile check keeblepr video: search on youtube for nissan pathfinder 2002 intake & exhaust. Im on my cellphone right now so I cant post a link.
  11. Wait..I think thats the one I was trying to refer to lol. I know its the third and last resonator thats close to the muffler.
  12. Sorry I dont know model or series number but yes the resonator right before the muffler is eliminated.
  13. I have the borla (its 2 in, 1 out) See it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVvq41Vo_LA
  14. get a borla or magnaflow one. Sweeter sound and since you need to change it, you just pay a little more for something better
  15. Where do i see what? Also remember that murano are FWD and AWD, so you have to check under 350z. I always check under the 2003 350z and if I find, I then proceed to contact the provider for fitment verification. By the way, I had emailed unorthodox racing and they said that as long as I do not mark the pulleys up in any way I could return them if they do not fit, but I am pretty sure that the 350z pulleys fit them. I am hesistating about ordering the pulleys because some people have complained that they cause trouble, i am not sure how. I already had ordered a long time ago the stillen ceramic headers for the 350z (http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=STIHDR05) but never got around to install them because they are not a direct fit and other parts were needed according to my mechanic. I will call him probably tomorrow because after searching for other mods for the path, I could not find anything and its frustrating. I hope that I can install the headers to my path and also a y-pipe. I will update you with more info when I speak to my mechanic tomorrow!
  16. Me and my friend's pathfinders are both automatic. By the way, I am considering buying a stock diameter pulley set from unorthodox racing. What do you think?
  17. I dyno'd my path about a year ago with K&N intake and magnaflow exhaust. Lost the paper, but I remember it was 181.4 or 181.2 HP at 2nd gear. That was on a mustang dyno (the dyno that is not elevated which apparently gives less HP) because my friend dyno'd his path on dynojet which is the elevated one and he got 190 HP and our paths run about the same
  18. From what I have heard from 350z/G35 owners a 5/16" plenum spacer made a noticeable difference
  19. which plenum spacer exactly? because I can only find the the skunk2 one supposedly fits because skunk2 told me that I could try to see if it fits while other sites claims that it fits all VQ35DE engines
  20. Nah it does not smell that bad lol, plus butt dyno hp haha
  21. lol, I did not even have to take my Path to the inspection this year and still passed! (that happens when you are friends with a certified inspector)
  22. lol yeah that happens since the catalytic converters are gutted..
  23. Do not go looking for 350z parts, because they are not going to fit. I currently have intake and exhaust. Btw, here is how it sounds. I was thinking of putting some headers from the 350z, but the fitment needs modifications because it does not fit directly, since the R50's exhaust system is longer. I am trying to find time and money so my mechanic can install the headers and when he does, I will explain what he needed to do. After the headers are done, I am not sure if VQ35 cams fit the R50, but I am definitely considering a piggyback ECU. Unfortunately, I search almost daily for performance parts that fits my Pathfinder, but almost nothing shows up, besides a throttle body spacer which I am skeptical about. Let me know what other parts you know of.
