Well I am back to the pathfinder again. I had one a while back and ran it head on into a Lexus. luckly for me I won and no one got hurt really at all. I had a log-in but it expired to I have a new one now.
I have an 88 pathy 4wd. with 280 and still ticking away. Well almost. What I am running into is a Haynes manual that covers 17 years of 15 different trucks in one book. Completely useless.
It started with a fuel pump problem. Replaced it, but later found that it had nothing to do with the pump but the positive bus on the battery. I should have looked at this first cause my last path would quit cause it had a single strand of 14 gauge feeding the pump power. Fine at least the pump is new
Now what happening is it is dying about 2 miles from the house and won't start for 2 days. On the 2nd day it fires right up for 2 miles and dies for 2 days. I have replace coil, module, cap, rotor and the distributor. Nothing is fixed still does the same thing.
What and where is the ignition relay. I have 12v out of on pin feeding coil module for primary side. Am I supposed to have voltage at distributor connector.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
