  1. Problem solved, counted the teeth, BUT, there is an odd whine coming from the timing belt area........
  2. Well the #1 is at TDC and the cam sprocket above that piston has its dimple lined up with the dimple on the back cover so I am under the impression that is compression.
  3. Hey guys, new to the forum, thanks for the opportunity to be a part of it. I just did my timing belt, first surpirse was the fact that there was no timing mark for the crank, the sprocket on the crank had a dimple, but there was nothing to match it up to, so I made a mark just in case. Before I took the belt off ,I also put the cam sprockets to the marks on the rear cover. So, with this i took the belt off, as I was putting on the new one, the passenger side sprocket got out of place, I rotated it the same way the engine would back to position. Put everything back, started it up, absolutly NO POWER! It is obvious the timing is way off. I just tore every thing down again, Lined up all the marks again, made sure the #1 piston was at TDC with all the marks lined up and it is. Any input, any help, please! Thanks in advance, Paul
