  1. I chose the OME kit because I was told that it is easier on the CV boots but if you get Warn hubs (like you should) the CV wear is not a problem because they are never spinning when you dont need them to. Further, the OME are working great on and off road for me. i have some videos of stuff I' ve done with the OME's if you like i could pm them to you.

  2. after taking my car through some mude holes yesterday i noticed that my blinkers stopped working, i checked te fuse and it was blown so i replaced it then tried again and it blew again....let it dry out for a day or so and the fuse still blows..what do i do?

oh and im having the same problem with the hazard lights....

this is a huge safety issue so i REALLY need help correcting the problem

  3. I'm sure he would tell you if he bent it, but if they bend the mount they could just as easily say it wasn't their fault.. BUT it's rather simple to do so I wouldn't worry about that...

BTW these splined studs can be purchased from Spaenaur.

thats why i will take dated pictures with film before i take the car in....

  4. Are you/they 100% sure that you got four wheels with the same offset?

*Maybe they mixed an oddball in there without noticing it.

i dunno....the place i got the rims ordered them from American racing....

and as for the creases ...where am i to look?

  5. Are they the original gaskets?  If so, replacing may help.  But most important of all, torque to proper values!

    A little bolt tutorial:

The helical turns in the threads will result in a natural tendency for them to want to loosen.

To prevent this, you can either bond them in place (Loctite type products) or increase the friction forces to hold them in place.

    Having the threads dry helps.

And most importantly, having the bolt under longitudinal tension is key.  This applies more force to the sides of the threads and more friction.  Properly tensioned, the bolt acts like a spring to keep the force constant and adequate to prevent backing off.

How to get the proper tension to stretch the bolt just a litte to apply adequate force?  Torque to the values prescribed by the design engineer.

Remove the screws, clean (bolts and hole) with brake or electrical cleaner.  Let dry.  Re-install and torque to proper value.  I'll bet it never happens again!

AKA..... tighten them down with a torque wrench!!!! just make sure you do it to the correct specs and make sure they are dry

  6. is it wet out where you are? ....cause if it is, the sound you are hearing might be your brakes locking then unlocking so you dont slide out of control (ABS).... ABS is put on most new cars because people were dying due to the fact that they weren't pumping their breaks like they teach you in drivers ed.... so the car companies invented something that does it for you and it sounds like a grinding noise but its really just doing its job
