you guys are lucky you dont have to change the plugs in a Kia Sportage as its about a 3hr job just to change 4 plugs
-
do you have a good drag link at all
-
well i am a happy little camper as i was ably to find a pump from a terrano 2 and i found out they are slightly different but with a bit of creative grinding on the mounting bracket i was able to get it in and mounted and working like a brand new one (total cost was $135 for the pump and $12 for the power steering fluid)
-
does anyone have a spare power steering pump for a 91 turbo diesel terrano mine just blew the front out as soon as i drove in the driveway at home if so how much and what would postage to gympie 4570 be
cheers trev
-
thanks for that i found that they want $20 more just to tell me they are for a terrano instead on pathfinder (rip off a$$holes)
-
i have been told that terrano and pathfinder ball joints are different can anybody confirm or deny this
-
thank you i dont know why i didnt think of that myself i must have had a blonde moment
-
ok i have added a couple of extra lights at the back of my roof basket for reversing lights and i have it all wired in apart from the wire to the reverse switch but i cant find the info i need as to which wire i splice into the vehicle is a 1991 terrano turbo diesel and i have a choice of either a red or a black wire so before i go cutting i just need to know which wire i need to splice into
cheers Trev

i thought you guys might have liked it but if it shouldnt be here i can be deleted (or moved)
-
i found this on you tube i dont think it will offend anyone (well i hope not anyway)

The Terrano is from Japan, in Aussie and NZ they were called Pathfinders like yours....
Make sure ya get the turbo version, the n/a ones are a bit sad in the power department...
In Australia we got the Pathfinder which is petrol and we get the Terrano as an import and it was turbo diesel so you would be best to try and get the importers to get you one as it will be easier and if you get the front cut you will get spare parts as well
-
well i hate to put a dampner on people but i get about 750km to a tank of fuel (but i do have a turbo diesel hehe  )
-
you could always try and find a front diff out of a nissan mq patrol they are supposed to be the right drop and they are nissan and apparently they are fairly strong and dirt cheap here in australia
-
i am just wondering if the the terrano and the pathfinder have the same front wheel bearings as the price difference between the terrano and pathfinder is ridiculous where i am and if the pathfinder ones are the same i can get them for half the price
cheers in advance

i might measure up a patrol radiator to see what the difference is and if it would fit (my brother has a patrol so i will have to go see him)
-
one thing that wasnt mentioned what is the condition of the radiator in? i only ask as my radiator is due for replacement as the fins are falling off (i know the condition of my radiator so i take it careful and dont cane the hell out of it)
-
Mmmmmm FJ20 twin cam turbo EFI (220hp in standard non turbo form i cant recall what the turbo version makes) all that in a bullet proof bottom end (just ask Jeff Watson what he thinks of them when you bolt them in a austin healy sprite and put a bigger turbo on it ((6 second quarter mile times))i was going to put one in my old nissan bluebird TRX
oh and welcome to the site and hurry up and get a build up thread happening

wasn't today but a couple of days ago i installed my UHF
today was spent making some custom mounts for the missus's surf as she wanted a fan put in there so the kids get some breeze in the back with the windows up so we got a small fan from supercheap auto and i made a mount that fits under the interia light and it holds the fan and i ran the wires up front to the rear vision mirror and installed the switch on another custom mount that bolts up under the mirror mount and hooked the wires up to the accessory and its good to go (the kids were in the car checking out the fan and the 4yo daughter (with here long hair) puts her head up behind the fan and gets her hair sucked into the fan and caught around the shaft and it pulled the hair out of her head

cause you leave it parked in the sun where it gets hot and makes the needles bend
-
i think this is better
-
ok i finally got my finger outa my a** and fixed the speedo and tacho as the needles were bent and i noticed that the wires to this black thing had been cut and i am wondering what it is and if it is important and should i join the wires back together
its a 91 5 speed turbo diesel terrano if that helps
what is the round black thing
