Hid's
in The Garage
Does anyone have them in there pfinder?? if you do do you ever cross water?... see i wanna set but if i go out wheeling i dont wanna come to a water crossing and be scared that im gonna blow my hid's. any would be great. I was looking at alumina kits web site > http://www.aluminaxenon.com/index.html .. all kits have weather proof seals to them where they connect to another wire... any ideas?

^^ yup, and smashing on V8's isn't even that great of a feat. Stock vs stock, acura GSR's break off mustang 5.0's no problem.
On my town, we don't waste time on camaros and mustangs, we coordinate races with Vettes, V10 Vipers, street bikes, and other turbo Hondas.
funny how the fastest cars i've ever raced against were other turbo hondas!! If you laugh at hondas that means you have no idea what power to weight ratio is.... go back to watching "trucks!" and nascar on sunday mornings LOLOL
Every car has there advantage or disadvantage, i dont mean to hate on v8's there are some really cool set up, but with that v8 comes weight and thats what kills it... Fueler i love the comment about trucks and nascar...LOL

cause you have 1.6-1.8 liters, and my bottle of mt dew has 2!
thats fine, but tell that to they guys with the 5L mustangs, vetts, Carrera's that i walk all over, i'm just glad that i bought a cheap car instead of spending 30 to 110g on a car that will get beat by a civic... lol... personally i would be pissed. and your mt dew has .1L less than my motor..haha

Race and Civic have no place in the same sentance. It's almost as funny as a racing lawn mower.
and why is this??
-
nope its still wrong lol
why is that still wrong??
-
thats funny, since when is a speed bump meant to race?
hahah i wrote that wrong, its propose built to race, but i dd it in the summer, and it can make it over a 5" speed bump

I work at a parts store. and play mechanic on the side for imports
-
i drive the r50 in the winter and for camping in the summer and drive a built to race 93 civic as a dd in the summer

Hey Im just about to do the First Service to my R50 5 spd. I just crossed 270xxx.. I'm gonna go to the dealer tomorrow to see if I have LSD in the pfinder.
Just wondering about fluids : Amounts and Type and if I need an additive;
1. Front Diff
2. Transfer Case
3. Transmission
4. Rear Diff
I already did a main check over of Brakes and Brake Fluid, Engine Oil, Coolant. Everything checked out good. Also is there anything that I should also check anything else???

I've heard stories about jeep coils actually working, but you'd have to get someone to confirm this.
I actually want to lift my r50 in the rear also with coil springs but I don't want to spend a bunch of money on new coils.
what year of jeep??
-
anyone else??
-
application guide says they don't work for a 97 p-finder
-
where did you get your coil specs
old man emu my buddy got the specs for me.... i cant seem to find anything in summit.. they have my coils at a local wrecker but they want 50 a side for labor and 100 a coil
-
hey i have a 97 pathfinder and well the passenger side coil is broken and missing a coil. Buddy has a set for coils from a 95 p-finder and says that i can have them... only thing is that they are a bit different.
87 - 95 p-finder
14mm diameter
198lbs per 1"
430mm free
96 - 99.5 p-finder
15mm diameter
140 lbs per 1"
360mm free
Which means that the 95 p-finder rear coil is almost 3 inches taller, 1 mm smaller in diameter, and can take more weight. anyone think that i could use those coils in my 97?? might even get a bit of a lift out of it?? any input would be GREAT... Thanks in advance..

Hi there name is Ben. I'm new to pfinders, 4x4 and this forum. I know my way a round a wrench...ooo that sounds hard..But cuz i am new to the pathfinder and i was told this is a great site for info, well here i am...
I gots me a 97 Pathfinder SE, its rad. i really like it, newest car/truck/suv i have ever owned. its got everything, heated seats, p/w, p/m, sun/moon roof, a/c, cruse control, massive bush bumper, no one and i mean no one cuts me off anymore.
Not sure what else to say here... this pathfinder is a huge change for me. i have been building Honda's since 15 and working on them since 7 with the old man. i am gonna stop rambling and see if i can find some cool threads...
What did you do to your Pathfinder today?
