  1. The two are independent, you can be in Hi or Lo gear shift for 2WD, AUTO, or LOCK. I don't know how the magic is actually done.
  2. That's exactly what I have. It it wasn't as odd as it is, I probably wouldn't be asking this question
  3. No, it's exactly what I have said earlier. There is a switch (2WD-AUTO-LOCK) and a transfer case floor lever (H-N-4Lo). There is also the standard transmission floor lever as well (P-R-N-D-2-1), so there are two floor levers and a switch on the dash. The car was manufactured in February of 1999.

  5. I have both on my 1999 QX4: a floor lever (H-N-4Lo) and a dash switch (2WD-AUTO-LOCK). Which transfer is it: tx10 or atx14a? I'm still stuck with this question, any ideas? Thanks
