  1.

And the brains behind the whole operation. Once done tuning I will remove the wires for the wide band controller and install the rest of the covers over the ECU.

I'm curious how you determined which wires ran from where on the MS board to each pin on the ecu connector. Were there instructions for that with the megasquirt?

    Amazing build!

  2. Fluid is at proper level and I changed it recently. I've tried toggling the overdrive switch on and off when it sticks to no avail. I've had the battery in and out a couple of times when welding and such so I would think that would've cleared any memory.

    Thanks for the suggestions though!

  3. So, sometimes while driving my pathfinder (auto) the transmission will hold a gear until I turn the truck off then turn it back on. After that it'll be normal as long as I'm driving it. I thought for sure my transmission was toast, but now I'm starting to suspect the TPS or transmission computer? Do these rigs have a separate ecu for the transmission?

Does this sound like an issue anyone else has had?

    Thanks!

  4. The body lift wasn't complicated, just some elbow grease required for the steering shaft and making sure you don't snap any bolts off.

In other news, I have my exhaust on and I couldn't be happier. The only difference at idle is tone not volume, but when you're in the throttle it sounds rowdy! I'll get a YouTube clip up asap for you guys.

  5. The exhaust on pathfinders is pretty simple really, it's a bunch of pretty straight pipes with the only bendy section from the muffler over the axle. My local shops quoted me less than $100 to bend a 2-1/4" pipe. That combined with a magnaflow cat and muffler from ebay I'm in for less than $300.

On a side note, new rad in, and my wires from 4x4parts showed up so I can get those in tonight! :wiggle:

  6. Well shoot, I called Accel and you're right these wires are for the older trucks. I checked out wires on 4x4parts.com and I guess I'll just get them from there, I couldn't find annnything from the other dealers.

Lesson learned! haha now, anyone want to buy a barely used set of 8.8mm wires? :jig:

  7. So, I ordered plug wires since I put the msd box in, and some sites say that the Accel part number 8883 is for 3.0 v6 pathfinders, but now that I have them in hand they don't seem proper. Some of the ends have the 90 degree bends and others are the vertical ones. There also seem to be wires that are too short / not fitting. Now doing more searching and some sites show the Accel part number for the pathfinder should be 8881 instead.

Has anyone ever used either sets of these wires?

  8. About time for an update!!

    Since my last post I've:

Installed a quest alternator! thanks for the write ups!

installed the msd! once again thanks!

had my mechanic install the new centerlink / steering stabilizer / idler arm brace.

What I have left to do for this batch of mods is:

Install body lift and headers / exhaust system.

My mod money got a little set back when I had to pay to get my car out of impound

  9. I just got my rig back from being freshly inspected, new idler arm brace on and steering stabilizer good to go as well! This weekend I'll get time to rig up the msd unit and the k&n apollo I picked up as well. What a nightmare it was to find e-brake cables for this thing!!

I ended up having to get them directly from Nissan at $120 / side! :headwall:
