  1. That looks about like mine did after I started into "a little rust". I gueas its off to the junkyard, I need a fender on the front to but I think I might wait till it cools off a bit.
  2. Went to dig in to my roocker panels to fix a small rust isue around the back corner of the rear doors. Very quickley I found the small rust isue is going to meen replacing the entire rocker panel from the back of the rear door to the front of the front door. Does anyone know where I can get some replacement pannels for a 94 4 door?
  3. OK so I drove right at 200 miles going by the mile markers on the interstate and the milage is exactly the same as it was before the tire swap. However before leaving I changed the oil and checked the air filter and the thing ran great on the way down but when I got to the first light off the interstate the motor died. Started right back up but idled realy low. The next time it died I did some checking and it turns out when I checked the air filter I must have knocked the plug loose for the air flow sensor. Not to sure what difference that would make for milage but as long as it dosnt get worse milage im happy as can be with the bigger tires.
  4. Thanks precise1 but I cant get the search tool to work. Im sure I can figure it out though I assume your just talking about replacing the gaer in the peice on the tranny. Im also guessing I would have to get that from a dealer. I got my tires mounted yeasterday and Im going on a good road trip this weak so I will figure out my milage and let yall know friday when I get back. milage aside I love the tires and no rubbing whatsoever. 5. Wow thanks for all the gret info guys, I just got my tires today and will be doing a full tuneup this weakend. I will look into the cone filter and since I am looking for better milage, and of corse its byproduct, I guess the exhaust will be my next project. Does anyone know how to get the speedo and odometer to work right with the bigger tires?
  6. OK so the speed limit is 70 on the highway I drive to work on and I have a 5 speed so even with the bigger tires I can still keep the rpms up so would it be safe to say I can at least keep the same milage.
  7. I have to say I do like the looks of a 2 door but I ahve a family so the four door wins for me. Watever you do stay away from the one that was painted with a roller, if he did that to it who knows what else he might have done.
  8. I have the same problem except mine is in the corner. I plan to cut or grind out all the rust and hammer away at some sheet metal till it fits and weld it in. Luckily yours is in the flat spot so you could just cut out a nice square peice a little bigger than the rusted area and weld in some new metal. if you get to it before it spreads it shouldnt be to bad.
  9. Yes more questions about 31 inch tires. I just cant help but think that 3000 rpms is a bit high for 60 mph. I know that going to a bigger tire like a 31-10.5 would lower the rpms but I wonder if it helps with highway milage at all or if anyone knows a way to get better milage.
  10. Be sure to check out your local Craigslist for deals on tires, some people have gotten lucky... Yea I saw a set of five BFG_ATs on craigslist for 300. Guy said they still had the little casting nobs on them but I just wasnt fast enough.
  11. First off hello to all. I just got a 94 pathfinder xe and so far so good. Ive bean poking around on the forums for about a weak and this seamed like the best one to join as im sure I will have plenty of questions at some point and im looking forward to helping out when I can. Just in reading through the forums I have already found answers to most of my questions so far so thanks for the help already. I do have to say though my heart sank when I saw the first pitures of a rotted out frame and ran out quickley to check mine to find that it was in good shape, just a little surface rust, few. All the other common rust spots are there though and I will need to fix those so if anyone knows a good cheap way to fix the rear rockers, that is the only thing I dont have a plan for yet. Also I just want to be clear, it is my understanding that I can put some 31-10.50s on my stock patfinder with the stock rims at stock height, I plan to get some soon and the wife is already complaining about the money so I dont want it to be wasted or cost me more than just the tires. Again thanks for all the help so far.
