  1. thank every one who helped i believe it bent valves in the process of gettin the heads redone
  2. i have an 89 pathfinder with a vg30i and 5 speed it recently lost the timming belt tensioner it didnt break while driving but did jump one tooth on one cam and lost power i put a new belt and tensioner on it and it had lots of power it sat a few days while i was out of town and when i drove it to the store i killed it and when i went to start it it was tapping i killed it started it a few minutes later it tapped a few seconds and died then no compression i towed it home and pulled the timing covers back off timming was good now it set for a few days and when i cranked on it today it had compression again im a deisel tech and this is my first nissan any help would be appreciated
