  1. Indeed I got some answers - and I was right about this community! Now I can't wait to get another Pathfinder...if only I had found this site a few years back, maybe I coulda been more pro-active about the frame rust...oh well, I'm sure the hardbody will be a good runner too. rare to find a 92 with only 50k miles.... Thanks again all!
  2. Yup. both are V6, sweet - thanks! I would think the suspensions were different - make any sense to swap those too? I forgot to metion that the Pathfinder is a 93, while the Hardbody I'm wanting to upgrade is a 92.
  3. Hi folks, I posed this question in the introduce yourself forum, I apologize for the double post - I realized I should have posted it here. I have to kiss my pathy goodbye due to serious frame rot, and have a chance to pick up a 92 hardbody with 50k miles and a bum tranny. Can I yank the tranny from the PF and put it in the truck? Both are auto 4wd. I will also be parting the pathfinder out and will post it here as soon as I know whether I can use the transmission or not. Thanks in advance all! Jenkie
  4. My compliments to the webmaster(s), mods and the community members here who make this a great place to learn and share love for the Pathfinder! I have a '93 SE Pathy that I believe I must part ways with, thanks to extreme frame rot; I'm very sad because I've loved the look of the body since it was 1st introduced, and having owned one for 5 years now, I've learned to appreciate its capabilities as well. Thanks to tough times, my options are limited - I am looking at a picking up a '92 Hardbody with only 50K miles on it, but with a tranny that has no reverse. Both trucks are 6 cyl 4WD AT... Does anyone know what - if any - differences exist in the drive train? Will the pathy tranny bolt right into the hardbody? Any help would be extremely appreciated - I hope to part out the 93 pathfinder as soon as I yank the transmission, and will certainly post it in the parts forum on this excellent site. Thanks in advance! Jenkie
