My 95 pathfinder has check engine light keep ON and Odometer is out of work. I read the compter code and it shows the speed sensor related issue. But the speedo looks work properly. Can anyone give me some hint? Or has similar experience. Thanks ahead.

I did clean the speed sensor contacor under passenger site but check engine light is still ON. And found the odor meter actually does not work totally. But speed reading sound OK. Can anyone tell me the possible reason about that? Thanks!

Thanks Toby. I do not know where connector is and how to check there isn't any dirt/grease/children/animals ... Could you give me a bit more detail? Or do you have any diagram?

My 1995 pathy has check engine light always ON and I get error code is 14 which means the spead sensor. But bacially the speed meter reading is correct. When start the car, speedo reading is zero. And when drive out I feel the speed reading is a little bit higher the I feel it was. I don't know how to check the speed sener harness and ECM computer connetion. Thanks for any reply.

Yes, I did. The mast actually stuck due to nylon mast is broken. And eventually this morning I successfully replaced new antenna. Exactly as you said, after open the inner fender, I saw to bolt and one harness. After removed them, I was able to take the whole thing out. I open the motor by removing the nut. Then I could have a close look. It is the grounding sleeve stuck inside due to some broken metal pieces. I managed to pull the mast out with needle nose pliers. Then, clean the motor, put some general grease in, plug the harness to the motor, turned on radio, feed new mast into motor. Install motor with mast back to pathy. enjoy... By the way, the $18 ebay OEM antenna is a kind of longer than original one.

I tried to pull the mast out but failed to do so by all means. So I had to open the right side inner fender. I managed to take half inner fender open up, looks like the antenna motor is pretty high. Any other suggestons? If I am wrong please reminder me

Do I have to remove fender to replace POWER antenna mast? My 1995 pathfinder has a power antenna. It can not come up completely, just half of normal height. I bought an OEM mast from ebay. I took the special nut out, and then took the plastic spacer out. I turned on the radio and tried to pull the antenna out but can not. Should I have to pull the right side wheel out and take the fender to replace the antenna master? Thanks for any reply.
