  1. Got it fixed guys (PITA) jacked up the pathy ,removed the front passenger tire, undid the starter bolts , tried to get the starter out but there was no way it was coming out without taking the oil filter out. I didn't get a new filter or the oil yet..(Pathy's my only ride) So I disconnected the wires to the starter and found the contact from the MAIN positive from the battery was really really dirty greasy. cleaned all the contacts and put it back on just for sh@ts and giggles and viola it starts like a charm! Thanks for all your help guys Now the pathy lives!!!!muwahaha! Off to the BEER store!!!!!!
  2. took the steering covers off and check the wiring everything looks alright the ignition itself seems to be a little loose though.. I'm havin a few beer right now and I'm off for the next 10 days so I'll go out and tear the starter off tomorrow .. I took a look at the wires goin to the starter and one is lookin a little green might be the problem I'll get back to ya asap!! BTW thanks for all the input it's very helpful as always!
  3. I think you got something there NissanNismoZ I didn't install or mess with an alarm but while I was looking for the wire problem I noticed a little toggle switch someone installed on the left plastic cover beneath the fuse panel. I followed the wires to a little black box I think might be an aftermarket alarm or disabling device. I have NO CLUE on how to disable this thing maybe just unsplice the wires and reconnect the originals (Hmmmmnnnn) this might work! Thanx NissanNismoZ I gotta go to work in a minute so I'll check tmorrow
  4. how hard is it to take out the ignition and check the contacts? cause of the steering wheel thing I'm thinking it's up in the column somewhere
  5. Hi y'all I've been having intermittent problems with the pathy starting..It's really weird sometimes it starts right up and other times it just clicks... The weird thing is when I turn the steering wheel hard it'll engage and start...until now!! now that won't work either .. I checked relays fuses wires(visually) and it all seems to be ok. My question is could it actually be the starter??? The starter clicks but doesn't engage.. the weird thing is the steering wheel thing why would turning the steering wheel make it work??? a short maybe? Anything you guys think it might be or have had the same problems??? Thanks
  6. You're right adamzan I just checked the price and it's about 230 at partsouce up here in Canuckville.. I just found a leak in my tank too after I filled it up $1.37 a litre (Gas bastards!!) I'm gonna drop my tank this weekend and see if it's worth repairing or getting a new one.(I'm a cheap bastard)
  7. Did this repair in October with the info here as a reference ..Worked like a charm..(except for drilling out the upper pin). This info was very helpful thank you poster best 40 bucks I've spent in a while!

My ABS light seems to be coming on intermittently when starting the 95 pathy XE. If I turn the engine off then back on it usually goes off but not always .. I checked the rear brakes ans adjusted them (still like new) It seems like it wants to come on mostly when raining but not always! I don't know Jack about ABS any help would be appreciated! Thanks

  13. Hey I just raised my tortion bars for a little 3 inch lift in the front now my wheels are wayyyy out of whack they look like this ---> / \ <----. My question is how do I get them back to this ---> ! ! <---? without going to get them professionally done.. I gotta get tires yet and once I get the new tires I'll get it done properly. Just wondering how I can adjust them myself for the time being.. Any help would be appreciated.. BTW its a 95 pathy 4 wheel drive I'm a pretty good artist eh? LOL
  14. Thanks for the info will get a seal tomorrow...
  15. I have the same problem on my 95 what sealer did you use?
  16. Well then what body lift kit do you recommend? remember I don't got a lot o money???
  17. LOL yes yes I will He's a Hab fan anyway and he's used to getting alotta pucks thrown at him..
  18. Thanks for the input guys.. It looks like I'll be buying a lift kit .I don't wanna be unsafe by having a hockey puck break. It was mentioned to me buy a couple of guys(hockey pucks). But I wanna do it right.. even though I live in Canada and have hockey pucks to spare LOL..
  19. do you really have to extend the filler and vent? I already own about 100 pucks or so it just seemed like an easy lift.. Anymore input would be appreciated Remember this is my first pathy BUT also my first 4x4
  20. My neighbor said I should just use hockey pucks and longer bolts for a 2" lift.. Is that OK? or Does anyone know of problems with that? This is my first Pathy and my first 4x4... I don't have a lot of money and this sounds pretty cheap for a 2" body lift(I can't resist) anyone got experience with this stuff? My neigbour said they used to do it all the time (old school) Also I'm gonna try the JGC spring lift on the rear..(2") and can I just turn the torsion bar on the front and adjust the tie rods for a 2" front lift??
  21. almost ready for the mud!
