  1. If there's a wiring connector attatched to your shocks you prolly have the stock adjustables. If you still have the original shocks from '91 they prolly don't work anymore.

Should I be able to peek in the wheel well and see the connector? Not sure if they are the original shocks or not?!? I just picked it up last winter. I hope they aren't originals...

I didn't think mine worked but it turned out the bulb in the switch was bad, easiest way to test them and notice a difference is to push down on the rear bumper, first put the switch in touring (some, like mine say comfort) and push down on the rear bumper it should be easy to move up and down, than put the switch in sport and do the same thing, if the shocks are working in sport you shouldn't be able to push the bumper down much if at all, you can also try rocking the truck from side to side in the 2 switch positions and should notice a difference.

Thanks, I'm going to try this.

  2. My fan/alternator belt snapped so I'm in the process of changing all 3 belts. I'm pretty new to working on vehicles myself so I was wondering if anyone could provide some helpful info on the best/easiest way to do this. Or maybe someone can send a link to diy guide or something. Anything will help. Thanks!

  3. I saw some at autozone that were identical to what was in both of my Pathys when I bought them. Deep, burly ridged ones that are nice and thick. I'll take a picture later...

Sweet, this may be easier than I thought. I figured the ones from autozone or wally world wouldn't fit. Mine didn't have mats when I bought it so please, snap those pics!!! Thanks!

  4. I am hoping the $300-$700 is becuase the labor rate is high.

List on that part is $185.00. I can get you a brand new lock cylinder for about $120.

I believe that range was depending on what the issue truly was. They said it could be 1 of 2 things. 1 being cheaper than the other. Anyway, I ordered the part and am getting it repaired tomorrow. Just under $400 for everything....ugh.

  5. I just picked up my 91 about 3 weeks ago for the winter. The little button you have to press to release the key from the ignition seized on me today. Nissan said it could be a couple different things and would be at least $300-$700 to fix depending on what was wrong. They suggested to just leave the key in the ignition all the time and use the spare key to lock/unlock the doors. I do not want to do this and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of things to try? If it comes down to it, I'll just pay to get it fixed, but want to try all options first. Thanks in advance!
