  1. WOW....not sure if this will work for anyone else but I have fixed my R2-D2 noise!!!! Where the header pipes meet and come together (2 pipes into 1 exhaust pipe) is a heat shield, and by simply "bending it out" a little to clear the pipes, my R2-D2 rattle squeeel is gone!!! YEAH!
  2. O.K. a little more....research... it (R2-D2 squeeeeeel) starts at 2,100 RPM. and stops when you hit the gas, or let off. Could it be transmission in nature??? God I hope not....it doesn't seem to effect handling, power etc. etc. Just damn annoying .....mabe I just need to get the new stereo in it, turn it up and not worry about it?
  3. MIne does the same.....thought it might be a bad catalytic converter? Or a lose bracket or something on the exhaust. Only does it at half or so throttle .....full throttle no 1/4 throttle all quiet.... Sure would be nice to get rid of it.....no remedies found yet?
  4. New dimmer switch...still no dash lights........
  5. Checked the vehicle from top to bottom. Guess I can get a tire shop to remove them and the replace with a standard nut.
  6. Got the full KYB set on yesterday. WOW BIG difference. Had to grind the stud off one of the front struts it was rusted and the previous owner cross threaded the nut on....GEEZ... took longer to get that one strut off than it did to replace the other 3! But, HUGE improvement in ride and handling. Will see how these last.
  7. Just discovered (while changing shocks) that the pathy has a "lock" lug on each wheel.....and the previious owner did not include this little gem/tool. Anyone know where I can pick one up cheap.....and fast......if I have a flat, I am done for.
  8. Bezel? In the dimmer switch? I have since found a new (used) switch here on the site hopefully that will due the trick. Will keep you posted.
  9. Putting a JVC in my 92 pathy. any tips tricks or hints???? Do I need an adapter or will the stereo mount right up?
  10. Ive opted for a full set of matching KYB front and rear....ordered today.....will keep you posted. Thanks for all the info.
  11. Thanks adamzan will keep an eye on em....but gonna avoid the process till I HAVE to. Will be much happier with better handling and less "bouncing" :-)
  12. Wow thanks Kingman. No no issues like that. As I say this is a road going pathfinder so not to bad.
  13. NOT THE SHOCKS?!?!?!?! You mean the bushings right kingman?
  14. Nope no shake and they look fine not worn through .......don't need to deal with a royal bitch if i don't have to. Thats what I was wondering how hard they where to replace. If it was easy I would just do it at the same time, but that answered my questions
  15. What about KYB brand? I do 99% highway/city driving.....not any "off road" opportunities in the keys. Also should I replace the strut rod bushings at the same time?
  16. Need new suspension on my '92 Anyone have any brands or styles to avoid/prefer? Any tips or tricks to keep in mind when changing the shocks? Front? Rear? Any help appreciated.
  17. checked the standard fuses under the dash.....is there a "relay" or larger fuse elsewhere? I couldn't locate it if there is.
  18. Newbie to the sight. Just got a great deal on a 92 Pathy. Glad to be back in a Nissan :-) However, after purchase I found out the dash lights (none of the dash lights) come on at all. Gauges, temp control, radio ahstray nothing. dimmer switch is also on. Any easy fix out there???
