Nissan tried to recalculate the ABS but said it wouldn't hold. They checked the brakes and anti-slip and said everything was working fine. Basically tey said I'd have to live with it. I've been driving it for a few days now and the braking problem is gone. It's a miricle. Only cost me $90... One more question. Since I bought rims with the wrong backspacing, is their anything I can do to correct that besides buying new rims?
-
I bought Ultra wheels, 16x8 Magnums. mws suggested these as a perfect fit. I thought they had the correct backspacing for larger tires but turns out they didn't. Ohh well. They still look really good, just not as large. I talked to the garage that put in my suspension today. They think I need to get my ABS recalculated. I'm getting it done tomorrow. Hopefully it's that easy.

I was wondering if anyone has experenced this problem or has any insite on the issue? I got the A/C lift for my 04 pathy professionally installed (GR2 & Rancho 9000). I then had 245/75/16 BFG AT's installed w/a ft end allignment. They couldn't fit 265/75/16's beacuse they hit the strut. With the smaller tire I have absoulutly no rub and they fit quite nice. Their are two issues I'm concerned about. 1) Whenever I reach speeds around 80 I get an incabin vibration, a deep slow vibration. I went back to the tire shop and had them look everything over. They greased the ft axel and tightened all the lugs. It seemed to go away but once and a while it comes back. 2) Now my big worry is my brakes. Whenever I am driving on a curved entrance/exit ramp on the highway and I step on the brake, doing over 35mph, they seem to almost shutter and not work. As soon as I straighten the wheel their is no problem. Does anyone have any idea what this could be???

That's exactly who I dealt with. He was very helpful. I would have never known to order 2 camber alignment kits.
-
Well, I ordered my A/C lift and wheels today. I'm crossing my fingers that everything goes smooth. Thanks for all your help. The knowledge on this board is priceless...

How are the Ultra wheels off-road? Will they hold up or are they made for fashion?
-
Is it the plactic shield in front of the tire? To the right seems like a metal cover. The plastic shield has screws in it. If this is it, could I just unscrew the shield?
-
I found a local tire shop that will test fit a few different sizes for me. They carry BFG so it looks like I'll be getting BFG AT's... It's about 90-100 degrees on avgerage right know in CT so the knife seems the way to go.

I know I keep asking lots of questions but I'm new at this. I appreciate all the advise everyone has given. No one stocks the tire that I want, Destination M/T's, so I will have to order the set without test fitting. I'm going with a 16x8 wheel and I would love to be able to fit the LT265/75R16/D's. With the A/C Lift installed and the inner fender trimmed... will I have any other issues? It makes me nervous that once the tires are mounted, they are non-refundable. Maybe I'll just stick with BFG AT's...
-
Did you do the trimming yourself? If so, could you explain how to do it?

Would this wheel fit my 04 pathfinder? Foose Spank 6 Size: 16x8 Bolt Pattern: 6x5.5 they make two offsets.. 13 or 10 or Gear Alloy 711 MB Modified Size: 16X8 Bolt Pattern: 6X5.5 Offset: 0 I'm confused on offset and backspace. Are they the same? I know that the Helo Maxx have 4 3/4" backspace but at (http://www.tiresdelivered.com) they have a 0 offset.

interesting.... I've read that siping makes the biggest difference in snow/ice/wet traction. I'm a beginner off-roader so I guess I don't need some crazy aggressive tire that will only perform in one or two specific areas. I'll keep researching...
-
So it is safe to say that going with 16x8 wheels, I could fit BFG AT LT265/75R16/D. If those wouldn't fit, I would have to go to the next size down (LT265/70R16/D). Anybody else running these combo's? Also I really like the aggressive look of the MT's but living in New England I need good performance in snow. Would AT's be the most aggressive tire that works well in snow/ice conditions?
-
Those are some gorgeous wheels. What model do you have and what size tire are you running? If I had the A/C lift with the 16x8's... what would be the biggest tires that I could fit? I wouldn't mind a bit of rubbing at full lock, just as long as it doesn't rub under normal conditions. All this info is awesome... thank you.

Would this setup work? 15x8 Helo Maxx 6 w/6x5.5 bolt pattern on 32x11.50R15 BFG AT's I'm not sure the correct bolt pattern. Every wheel/tire site says that this wheel will not fit an 04 pathy. Also not sure on the tire size for the wheel... just want to be sure before I get everything shipped.
