  1. I had a recent flush and filtre change. The mechanic did not totally drop the pan because he said the exaust pipe were in the way and it would have cost me more to remove whatever pipes were in the way. He said the flush was still done and it was caulked up good after the flush. i now have a slow leak from somewhere. I have a 95 xe 4x4. Does anyone recommend tranny leak stuff? I am thinking that the mechanic should have dropped the pipes to do abetter job. Not sure if the new gasket in the kit was used.

    noisy belts

i got stuck in some deep snow. The transmission hot icon lite up along with the battery icon. I thought i was toasting my tranny. Thank God, was only the very bottom belt broke. I decided to get them all changed by wonderful mechanic son. No more noisy belts.

    noisy belts

I have just had the timimg belt, water pump and tensioner pulley changed. For a while the drive belts were quiet. now they are noisy again. I am at 246,141 kms. I am not sure if these are orginal belts. would new ones be quieter. With belt dressing it is quiet for about half hour.
  4. I have 244, 460 kms on my 95 xe. I use synthetic. I put the last 30,000 km myself so not sure what previous owner used. It does not leak and synthectic makes for easier starting in Northern Alberta winter.
  5. I have a 95 xe stock automatic trans 4x4 . this goes place that i would stuck with my 97 f150 s/cab 4x4. it also outperforms in the snow as well as in the sand along a river bank.
  6. just trying to figure out how to get into forums. looking for infor on improving mileage put k&n air filter and change fuel filter
