  1. Just wanted to drop in and say Hi since I can't remember the last time I was here.

    Hope everyone is good?

Weird....I keep looking for NPORA sticker on every Pathy I meet, even now that I don't own a pathy. I will own a Pathy again and surf the channels of this forum again!

Good job with the site BTW! keep up the good work!

  2. Dude sorry to hi-jack, back to the job search!

No worries.... That story is EFd up! Can't beleive people can pull stuff like that off.

i know what living in a pathy feels like.......... anyhoo, yeah, they say the average time to find a job nowadays is 5 months.wtf. i sometimes hate my job, but i don't think u haul is going under any time soon.......... i'll hire you....... c'mon down!

Hmmm.....It is getting colder here in Canada....Wouldn't you be surprised to wake up Xmas morn with someone sleeping in your driveway.

  3. Found a job for ya Pezzy... can make lots of $$$ by setting up a naked truck wash stand outside Rausch. I'm sure it'd pull in business for them as well.

Can you say one tracked mine....perseverent....consistent

  4. LOL, I hear ya.

Being let go was likely the only way I was going to leave my last job... I hadnt been happy there for years. I am hoping this is the push to find something better... annnny day now.... please.

I was pretty much in the same boat...."bitch and shrug" stage. I guess when things start getting rough throughout a company, it caries like a wave through the employees.

Good luck and hopefully you find something soon Pezzy!

  5. I could probably go work for the competition also, but I'm not 100% I want to keep in the same field (Gaming) possibly because the scar is still fresh  . So for now I've got a couple of part time possibilities and my severance to keep me going till I make up my mind.

  6. Yeah, got some resumes out and luckily had a couple months sallary worth of severance. They say everything happens for a reason....let's just hope it didn't happen to make me find out what living in a cardboard box feels like. Maybe we could all just get together and pool our knowledge into building and testing 4x4 parts and accesories......I'm sure I could build some sort of blinker fluid tester B)

  7. Lost my job to cuts Friday after 6 years with the company. Sucks, but life goes on I guess. Anyone know of people looking for a good Electronic Tech? I know where they can find one! :crossedwires::aok:

  8. Good stuff!!! Glad to hear you got up there in one piece. That's a good time for your first attempt. Was it clear so you had a good view from the top? Let us know what else you did and how you liked it.

I made it up in one piece, but if that trail was 200 yards longer I don't know if I would have made it.....or at least it felt that way the last 200 yards  and I bought a "I survived the grind".....not sure if this was because I survived or if I just needed a dry shirt......but I bought one.

The view was absolutely marvelous, not a cloud in the sky. I'd definately do it again......just not today or tomorrow (maybe in a month or so :) )

    As for what I did.

I drove down Hastings a couple of times, which made me feel pretty good about my life :suicide:

Went to Metro Town. Impressive size mall.

Unfortunately, the co-worker I was travelling with was not so outgoing so we ended up just going for a few beers at one of our other co-workers that lives in New-West. We tried a Vietnamese place that was pretty good called Pho99.

Ate at Cactus Club almost every night. Hopfully we'll find another place to go out for a couple of beers later on this week or something  .

  9. Vancouver BC- Yes!

Kids- No!.......well I've got two fellow co-workers that might be of the right mentality, but I don't think that counts. ;) Thanks for the ideas. I was thinking about Grousse. I also like the aquarium and market idea.

Daftpup, thanks for the BDay wish and your Mogolian is awsome, so that might also be good.....

  10. A tip if u use high temp paint such as BBQ paint. Paint it while the ehaust is still hot or heat it with a torch or heat gun first (don't use the torch or heat gun at the same time as your painting for obvious reasons). This bakes the paint on and will last longer before you have to repaint. My friend would do all his snowmobile/ATV mufflers this way and it worked great.

  11. Your shifter will get warm a little, but if you feel a hot air comming up through your boot is most likely ripped. Pretty easy to check on the older models as there sre only two snappers holding the top boot to the floor on the drivers side.

  12. Wow.....remind me not to go trailing with 88....he means buisness!:tongue:

I say trail damage....unless the guy runs you in purposely or does something really stupid, like try climbing a hill that's iced up after someone says hey "don't climb that hill because you're not going to make it and then you're going to slide back down and around the corner and hit that pathfinder...." is to be expected and should be your own responsibility.

It sucks to get run into and if I ran into someone I would offer to help with the fixing of the rig, but trailing has a lot of unforseen and I think even insurance companies might have issues with paying for trail damage.

  13. I'm sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to you, your family and your comunity.

That was a big shock troughout the whole province yesterday. We went to the Moncton Blue Eagles game last night and they had a moment of silence for the victims.

Having two kids in sports, I can't even imagine the feeling a parent would get when he get that news while waiting for his kid to come back from a sporting event. It is a truely sad story indeed!
