  1. Alright fitted my new Ironman Kit!! Looks heaps better, much firmer ride. Now just gotta get me some Pirelli Scorpion 31" A/T tyres and new rims to set the beast off! Here is a piccy of it on the wharf in Japan stock.
  2. I'm always out lookin for wet cracks
  3. I have brake fluid leaking from near my passenger side front wheel, but I can't pinpoint where its coming from???????????? Any suggestions???
  4. If its a diesel, try priming the fuel pump, could be that or your glow plugs. Mine was starting hard when parked on a hill, so i replaced fuel pump and plugs and she is sweet now.

    Cheapo's = ? Mid Range = ? Droolers = ?
  9. Have a look at the calmini b4 and after here. It is on a hardbody with rear leafs, but you get the picture. Calmini installation instructions
  10. Cheers mate, I am tossing between Monroe magnums and OME at the moment. Dollars are a consideration monroe $440, OME $550 aud. Can someone lend me some american dollars for awhile?
  11. When I was in Japan buying mine, There were a few at the auctions there. I really liked them but they were going for more than i wanted to pay. They were all two door in the widebodied. The real main difference was the whole wheel flare like, not just a flared arch or fit on guard. The flared wheels are hard to describe but like a modded pickup rear guard. None of those pictured look like it.
  12. Have you sussed this out? A mate got it fitted in his LandRover Defender and reckons it made a massive difference to his power and fuel economy. Cost about 3 grand AUS though Dieselgas
  13. GODDAMMM those nuts were on tight!! WD40'ed em, nothing. Hands are sorer than an abstinent monk's!!! and still couldn't getem off. Looks like bite the bullet and get em done with the new shockies n springs. Here's the rear terrano set up.
  14. Sweet, all food for thought. I am gonna adjust/reindex torsion today, so see how i go. Just had to search the net for pictures so i knew what i was lookin at. Here is a good link for any other newbs that come along like myself in regards to torsion bars/lift etc. torsion stuff It is about the monterey (challenger in oz) but still has good piccies of torsions abars etc. My last vehicle was a 2000 landrover defender, coils all round so I had to get myhead around torsion bars etc. Also here are some diagrams of the terrano's suspension.
  15. All sound advice, cheers. I think I will stick with the ironman gear, see how that goes with a bit of torsion lift as well ( still got me scoobied about the torsion lift though ) The rancho 5000's are dear in australia - $145 each. OME are about the same. Thanks for the links, very handy. Maybe 1" body lift if necessary later down the track. As you can tell I ma new to this, used to just charging in and if worse comes to worse, anchor and handwinch solves most problems!!!
  16. Hey all, Just wondering if I can get some advice on suspension upgrade (currently stock). Was thinking of going with either Ironman or Old Man Emu. I was going to replace shocks, springs, torsion, and get a dampener. Any thoughts on these two products, I would like to get 2-3 inch lift over stock. Also, I am pretty new at this, I would like to increase front height and you can do this by adjusting front torsion bars? Anyone know hoe to do this? Also what does the front torsion bar look like Cheers
  17. Gday all, Just surfing around the net looking for advice on Suspension set up for my terrano. Hammered my front shockies, so I thought I would bite the bullet and fit it out with new torsions, shocks, springs and stabilizer/dampener. I imported my terrano from Japan stock, and since have taken it on surfing fishing trips to moreton island (sharks) and Fraser Island, worlds biggest sand island (and more sharks!) and the terrano diesel took everything I could throw at it. The clearance being the only real drama, so would like to raise it 2-3" all round I guess. Its automatic so that helps in the sand. When I 'm not in the beast, I ride my Buell Cyclone. So gday to everyone hear and hope to chew the fat with you blokes, and gals.
