Not to my knowledge.
Unfortunately, it wasn't Dan's lack of internet access that was the issue, (you can get internet almost anywhere, from cafes, libraries and work, etc) it was his refusal to respond to any form of communication. If you see him in the tubes, tell him to swing by. He has some things to clear up...

No this hasn't been cleared up yet. He obviously is avoiding any means of contact because he wanted to see how much money he could screw out of people before he could dipset.

SFD = sub frame drop?
Anybody have experience with a subframe drop lift? How about coil spacers? I've got the 2 inch coils from AC and want to increase my ride height and fit bigger tires. Any advice would be appreciated!
I would post a picture of my ride as it looks now, but I can't figure out how.
I've heard of a bunch of people trying with the SFD but have only seen pictures of two successes. the R50 isn't meant to be a monster truck no matter how much we want it to be.

I put 33x12.50s on my car when I got my lift and it didn't work for turning. I knew it wouldn't work but my brother agreed to lend me his tires to see what I could squeeze under there.
I Had to go with the 31"x10.50s for best performance...

I got a Fender Stratocaster back when they were only $300 now their $500. I also have a new Fender Acoustic and a ****** little bass guitar that seems to work fine. They all have the sunburst finish and I jam on all of them a few times a week. I only have the acoustic because it helps me get laid quicker.

Hell, I live in Harrisburg... if he's in DC, I could see if I can go pay a visit... though it'd have to be after this semester ends (16 credits in courses... class every day but sunday) and working full time (every day but sunday) has me on a serious overload 0o'
I'm in the same boat your in but i just got my hours cut back so i could keep up in school.

Hey Boston (its Brodie btw) ill split the gas and ride up to DC with you, its about what 4 hours from G-boro? People said he moved, but he shouldn't be too hard to track down. I mean @!*% it would give us something to do. If he's too lazy to ship the parts, we'll just show up on his doorstep and be like "Yo we're here to pick up our @!*%." It would be satisfying.

OK, so back in July I gave Moderator: Vengeful like $40 for some brake roters he had, and then he just bails as soon as he gets the money...Has anybody seen him or does anyone know him personally so that I could get a hold of him. I didn't think the forum was about fskcin' each other over...

Here is my ol' setup.

In my town (Outer Banks), the tree huggers and the republicans have come to the mutual agreement to only shut down the beach driving access During the summer months only to reopen on Labor Day. They do this because of the flood of tourists here and it makes sense because so many drunk assholes would just drive around on the beach killing people on a normal summer night... Remember the tree huggers ALWAYS win so just start thinking of a way both sides can have their cake and eat it too.

I had my wheels balanced last week because I am getting steering wheel vibrations at about 50 mph. It didn't get any better after the balance and $40 bucks, I am beginning to think it is a bent rim because I have done some pretty fskced up stuff as far as jumping @!*% and hitting curbs. I never had the problem until i moved to the city where the roads are total @!*% about a month ago. I plan on getting a fresh alignment because I have a negative camber as it is and see if that helps any...and if i need new rims...then thats a pretty damn good excuse to go buy new ones..

This is what all I've been working out in the 21 or so months I've been waiting on it. I can still use the engine blocks & the steering link... I'd rather not use spacers if at all possible at this point. I'm willing to use them in the front until I can get my sh*t together for the coilover converstion
That's a pretty good idea mayne. If it rides good let me know.

I have had my AC lift for 3 years now and it seems to me that the front of the truck is sagging lower and lower. My tires are rubbing a lot more then they used to. Has anyone notice their AC front springs sag after a few years? I know during the initial break in they compress about a half inch. Does anyone have any center of hub to bottom of fender measurements? I don't have fender flares on so I need a measurement to the fender. Its a 2002 R50 if it makes a difference on the measurement. Thanks, I appreciate it.
I have had mine now for almost 2 years and the front has sagged noticably, Over christmas break when i go home i will order new front coil springs and just use the old rancho strut. Oh and I will also replace my Bilstein rear shocks for some fresh OME rear shocks.

No i decided to keep the pathy! at least until i graduate or maybe forever since i can't get any good offers for it. When i was rock crawling i bashed the solid steel frame up front because i didnt have a skid plate... ill look in to those that you guys recommended. Thanks!

I need a strong metal skid plate! who should i ask? or where should i order one???

I have the same problem on a 97. I took it to two shops and was told the rack and pinion needs to be changed.

Mine was perfectly centered but then i hit a giant pot hole on a trail when i was goin like 20 mph and suddenly the steering wheel was 3 inches off center to the right...go figure

4x4Parts uses 5150s. I have em on my truck. No probs with 'em.
i went with the bilsteins and they are tough as crap for like the first 8 months.

So I've made a decision on wheels, post-SFD install with 33s or 35s.

The other wheels that had caught my eye are too hard to find. These are badass, anyway!
Once you go black, you'll never go back.

I'm slowly still acquiring all my lift parts.....I trying to figure out what stock/old OEM parts I can still use on my 96 when I install my lift....Obviously, everyone agrees to replace the strut bearings with NEW OEM ones, what about things like, the 2 strut insulator brackets (which I'll have to drill out the pressed in bolts to add a 1" spacer) should I go new? and the pieces that go under the strut bearing, the seat and rubber pieces?, what did you guys do?.....Now that I'm getting closer to getting ALL the parts for my lift, I'm getting a little antsy trying to cut corners and not replace EVERYTHING with new parts! Money's a little tight now, until I go back out on the road (touring). But then, most likely won't get it done until late summer early fall, then.
Don't jew yourself out. just replace everything. you'll be glad you were thorough.

So the drums are also bigger on the 2nd gen R50s? I knew the front brake hardware was larger...
Would a 15x10 4" BS wheel, fitted with a 33x12.5 tire clear the strut? Methinks a wheel spacer would be crucial for this to work.
Yo i run a 15x8 rim and it has plenty of room. a 33x 12.50 will not clear the strut, i have tried... a 31x10.50 is all you need to have a good looking r50.
-
Aight, got em aligned correctly. Gonna do some plastic fender trimming this afternoon and see if that works
You need a camber kit. its for lifts but normal places don't sell them. i cant find one anywhere but ik what i need.
-
15/8 rim 31 10.50 mtz ima throw a chrome center cap on there to to bling it up.

URE is the best man.....
Reason is that I am thinking that later on some time... in the southeast maybe a Pathfinder car show or something like that could take place... or a major wheeling trip....
Ill do a pathy car show. im on the outer banks of NC
Major Camber Blowout Crisis
in The Garage

So I was pulling out of my college in Wilmington,NC when suddenly some Virginia jackass cut me off causing me to slam on breaks into my turn. This caused immense pressure to be put on my front right shocks and breaks. I just had it aligned and the f*** who put my bolts in with the camber kit messed something up causing the upper bolt to break, fallout, disappear... and when you don't have that bolt in, the inevitable happens. Colony Tire who did the alignment said they would cover the damages: CV joint, stabilizer bar, and of course camber.
Luckily it happened right in front of the Automotive tech building on my campus so i ran over and grabbed a floor jack and a strut camber bolt and fixed it sort of in the middle of the highway. I tried pulling the cv shaft out but it wouldn't budge. tow truck came and its takin care of.
