I've been wondering the same lately as well.
I'll look in my FSM tonight and post the procedure. Unfortunately if it's like most trannies one adjustement has to be done with the pan off. As I recently found out the xhaust cross over needs to be removed to get the pan off. I just had mine off and I don't feel like welding my exhaust again.

He means the bump stops and yes it would help. Some trucks didn't have bump stops though )like mine) so you have to be careful.
I find the pathy's turning radius to be quite good.

ha ha ha thanks

Sorry I didn't get a chance to look yet but this weekend while driving late at night my passengers commented on a gree LED light under the passenger seat. It flashes while I'm on the gas and is solid green when I'm not (possibly the opposite)
what is the for? 1992 Nissan Pathfinder Se. There is no alarm in this truck but it does have a hitch for towing but most of the towing harness i inside the drivers rear quarter.

Yes pb blaster them for 1 week straight every day
Mine would not budge after a 24hour soaking, but after 1 week soaking then spun like butta

There was a minty framed pathy at Bucks auto in Winnipeg just this past weekend. They are a corss canada company maybe they'd ship it (although I doubt it because bucks here was bought out by general scrap and they are in the scrap steel businees and no longer in the auto salvaging business.)

I had the same problem last month so I'm still on the ball

here found it in the old pinned topics in the garage:
Headlights working strangely, not at all or singly(only one)
The headlight switch inside the turn signal lever is prone to malfunction after a while. Taking the turn signal lever apart, pulling the switch apart and cleaning the contacts as well as re-bending them into proper position will fix this problem. Some people report using contact cleaner spray on the switch from the outside (or after minor disassembly), but the effects don't last and re-cleaning is necessary.

I've had this 95 Pathfinder for over 5 yrs, and have had no problems with it, but now, for no reason, the passenger side headlight comes on when it's sitting in the driveway. I drove it around last weekend, and it never came on the entire day, then when I parked it, that evening, the headlight came on, and drained the battery. It's done it two times before as well.
What to do? Is there a fix? I know electric problems are the worst to fix, but give me some hints. I've cleaned the battery posts, and secured all the connections I can find, and still no good. Any help out there? Thanks.
There's a topic in the repair section I can never find.... But basicly the problem is in the switch. Luckily it's easy to get too. You take the plastic cover of the steering column and there is a headlight module with a bunch of copper contacts take the cover off and clean those contacts. They are grouding due to build up.
I'll search for the link

Same but I neglected to do my cars inner rocker panels and now they are rusted through I'm so mad at myself because I film the rest of the car and forgot to do the inner rockers.

My GF's was rusty as well so I boxed it , I clean it out every time I wash the truck and I fluid film inside the frame at least twice a year. The fluid film lasts almost a year.
I have a driveshaft that is bare metal and was fluid filmed and it still doesn't have any surface rust on it after 3 years of hard use.

Our 92 calls for 26 PSI with 31 x 10.50" tires (stock tires) on the Door Jamb. I run 28-30

I can't wait till she's fed up using it as a daily driver and I can start cutting it up to make an off road rig

Sure sounds like it... It did it again just yesterday, My girlfirend said I know how to fix it, She got out kicked the bumper full force and she fired right up... Amazing what a little force could do.

I got it going... Looked at her old starter (which I had kept) No drain hole. no drain hole = frozen solenoid.
I just held the key in for 5 seconds, let it rest 5 seconds for about 10 cycles and that thawed it out and it fired right up.
Stupid not to have a drain for condensation when the starter is so close to the exhaust.

Well it's back. I don't know what it is, when it gets below -10 Celsius my Girls Pathy won't start.
It'a 1992 nissan pathfinder SE (automatic 3.0), every winter when it gets below -10 the truck won't start. Typical bad starter sypmtoms.
Turn the key all the relays click then nothing no draw from the starter. Battery is ok but on the dying side (still green on the battery acid tester and 12.6volts) terminals are squeaky clean, cables look ok. She's had her starter replaced last year for the same problem and a new battery which she returned, Boosting doesn't help so battery isn't the issue. I even took the battery from my chrysler no difference.
I tested the battery while I tried to crank it but there didn't seem to be a draw of power.
I'm guessing maybe her battery cable to the starter is bad but I can't reach it to test (starter on these trucks is tucked right up between the frame rail and motor mount I can't get to it.
Any ideas? Seems to be a common enough problem according to google but with obvious solution. Where is the starter relay on these trucks? I hear the realy click but that doesn't mean it's still good.

NO FOAM Foam retains moisture it does not "keep it out" Foam = bad

there is no other one......(south dakota man) do you think you could do me a huge favor and get the part # from your dealer??
I'd be indebted to you forever
When I see my GF's I'll look it up it should be written on the part.

My girlfriend got her phillipino connection to weld her frame for 200$
They cut out all the rust and boxed it with plate steel
Second time they do it too. the proper fix is new frame.

I assumed they changed your fluid and filter before diagnosing it?
-
No I meant a link to the procedure.
I found all the other posts that tell the user to search for his answer but not one with the actual procedure.
I have the switch with me but I can't seem to dissasemble it.

2H is 2 wheel drive
4 H is 4 wheel drive "high gear ration"
N- Neutral
4L is 4 wheel drive low gear ratio
Our pthy is hard to shift you also have to push down on the stick to go from neutral to 4 lo.

There are no relays for the headlights. Your multifunction switch(headlight, high beam, turn signal, etc) is sticking. You can take it apart and fix it yourself if you feel like it. This has been covered a hundred times.
Link? I fiddle with the switch it didn't seem to help But I hear a loud clicking from the engine bay which is why I assumed the relay
tranny band adjustment...

You'll have to drop the exhaust to get the pan off. Or do what I did and cut the cross over and weld it back in.
