  1. The light on my 95 came on awhile ago, and I was told that is was probably a speed sensor. I was also told that if your abs is disabled the brakes will work like old fashioned brakes. I pulled the fuse for the abs and the brakes work perfectly fine, for like 6-8 months now. Just a suggestion, your problem could be something diff. Good luck....

  2. 26 psi is what Nissan recommends, but you will be wearing out your tires faster than you can afford, and the ride will be comfy, but sloppy around turns. I have mine at 35 psi for the past 2 years, and have had little tire wear, easier turning, and much better ride ( a little harder but handles a lot better). Basically whatever you are comfortable with between 30-40 psi.

  3. Today when I got home from work, I look outside and the pass. side head light and the two fog lights on my 95 were on. I opend it up and messed with the fog lite sw. and was able to turn those off, and turned the regular lights on and off a few times but the pass. lite wouldn't turn off???? I then put the key in and turned the car on, worked the switches a few times, shut them off and shut the car off and all is well again (for now)!

Anyone ever have this happen? Or is my pathy haunted by ghosts???? Any Suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Karl

  4. Jersey is the same as oregon, no self serve, one of the previous governors did it to create jobs... Only difference is it's usually pretty cheap compared to the west coast....Still a pain though...

  5. Around 1.70 for Regular unleaded here in Norfolk, VA Up to 1.85-1.90 for super. Sorry you west coast guys are getting the shaft... Hopefully this wont last forever.

  6. If you aren't goin crazy 4 wheelin, and are mostly concerned with how it looks, why not go with a cheap 3" body lift. I think the kit only costs around 100 bucks, would probably cost 300-400 total to have it installed if you didn't want to do it yourself. You can spend a little more on the paint job if you do that... Just suggestions, Good luck!!!

  7. I HATE BRAKES, WISH THEY WOULD STOP SQUEALING. CHANGED THE REARS AND HAD THE ROTORS CUT, THAT NOISE WENT AWAY, NOW IT'S THE FRONTS, NEW PADS 2 MONTHS AGO, READY TO TEAR APART AGAIN TO GET ROTORS CUT, EVEN THOUGH THEY LOOK FINE! AGGGAAHHH!!!! HOPEFULLY WILL HAVE IT ALL STRAIT SOON!!!!

JUST NEEDED TO VENT, THANKS FOR LISTENING.....ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED...

  8. That size tire definatley fits, I bought an extra full size alloy stock rim from a tire place and had them mount one of my old 31X10.5 on it and it fits on my carrier perfectly. The only down side (which doesn't bother me) is that your rear view is a little more obstructed. Be careful of the carrier itself, the hinge pins tend to seize up on the older ones(especially with the added weight of the larger tire). I did away with those goofy steel pins, and put stainless 5/8" bolts in instead. The bolt on the bottom of the carrier has to go in from the bottom though, otherwise it hits the bumper. Also, use never-seize or a good grease on the bolts when installing them.

  9. A few stereo tips...

Yes the 95 uses the harness from the 94 (I had the same problem).

The remote wire coming out of an aftermarket deck is usually blue or blue with a stripe. Some decks have two, one for the power antenna, one for the amps.

I recommend using the factory amps while they still work. An easy solution to previous posts about only having the volume on 3 and it already being loud is easy, turn off the loudness feature on your deck and you will eliminate excess noise and feedback. Most decks these days have enough audio adjustments to get your system sounding sweet.

The factory speakers don't last forever, mine started going bad a few months ago. Been having a hard time finding speakers that will fit w/out modifications. Crutchfield is absolutely useless, they say that there are no speakers that fit our trucks, which is not true. I have found that going to speaker man. websites such as infinity, polk audio, clarion, jbl, etc... is more helpful, most offer a vehicle fit guide on their sites. Also, a place for good priced speakers and decks is a website called etronics.com, so far they have the best prices on the stuff i'm interested in. I bought a new kenwood deck from them 1 year ago, and had no problems, they ship fast and have great prices.

Some speakers that the manufacturers' claim fit:

    Polk Audio ex357

    Clarion src5715

    src5795

    JBL p8652

    gto8626

    Infinity ref6802cf

    All are reasonably priced.

Have also found speaker dimensions for my '95 (can't remember the website)

    Front 5X7" 2 3/16" depth

    Rear 5X7" 2 11/16" depth

Hope this is helpful to some of you, please advise if any of my info is inaccurate.
