  1. Argh!! I just removed my alternator and reinstalled it. Now I cannot find where the small wire goes. Ive attached the plug and the larger wire with the rubber cover. I had someone remove the alternator for me and I wasnt paying attention when he took the smaller wire off. I know stupid me. So does anyone know where the smaller wire is screwed on. I assume its in the back but I can only feel around on the back and do not feel the small little stud it would go on. Any pointers are appreciated. I really dont feel like taking this alternator back off. Thanks, Paul
  2. I have a 3" PA BL on my 96 tacoma and a 3" Revtek SL and run 33x12'50s no problem. It also ran 35's with alittle bit of rub so I trimmed the fenders. Anyway, my question is do you think the 3" BL from the Tacoma would work on the Nissan? I know I had to raise my body from the radiator but I could get a bracket for that. alos there was an extension for the steering colum and shifter which should be easy to fix. I was just wondering if the 3" lift colums would work. I would like to put the 33's on my 95 Pathfinder. What would be the best and not that expensive route to go with a 3" BL and a 3" SL? Thanks, Paul
  3. I might need a new frame. If the frame shop doesnt want to fix mine. Or I might just buy another one that needs a tranny. I'd love to see your once you complete it. Thanks, Paul
  4. I paid $1,200 for it. It has 130k on it. Not bad since the KBB was $4,500.The body and interior look pretty good. It runs great its really the frame that is scaring me. Im sure it will fail inspection. If I still had my own garage I would weld some plates over the holes and go with it ... Im sure the entire exhaust system excluding the manifolds will need replacing. Anyway, I cant wait to get it on the road. Thanks for everyones input!
  5. Hey Guys, Well I have a list of things wrong with mine. It runs great but but I need alot of repairs. Here goes the list. :help: 1. The driver and passenger front doors are hard to close. Its like they are lose at the hinges. 2. The exhaust system is totally rusted out. Not sure how much that will cost Anyone one know???? ... I guess I need an entire new exhaust, muffler etc. 3. Parking break doesnt work .. I presume the cable is broken. :furious: 4. The rear frame is rusted so bad the prior owner tried to weld it back together ... looks really scarey. Looks unsafe. 5. Needs new rear shocks --- I've done that. 6. The front blinker lights are smashed 7. The front and rear bumpers are rusty. pssd 8. There are minor rust spots popping up over the fender flares over all 4 tires. 9. I guess the timing belt or chain needs replaced .. just to be sure. Anyway... Im sure thats only the beginning. Any advice on how to fix those would e greatly appreciated.
  6. Mine is a 95 and the rust is so bad the rear end was about to fall off. It still has rust holes infront of the passenger rear tire. The entire frame is ate up with it. Its the most horrible thing I've ever seen. However my 96 Tacoma doesnt have a rust spot on the frame at all.
  7. So does that mean I can use the 91 frame for my 95 Pathy? Thanks, Paul
  8. Thats a long way to drive from BUffalo, NY. :-)
  9. Thanks for the invitation! Unfortunately I have alot of frame work to do. I couldnt take this thing off road like this. Im not even sure I can fix it.
  10. I never see any with blown motors for sale. I wish I could find one. How do you find them?
  11. Thanks for letting me know about the timing belt. Im not sure if it was ever changed so I will go ahead and get that done to be sure i do not lose my engine. thanks for the heads up! Paul :cool2:
  12. Ok then I will take some pictures of the rabit droppings and post them soon! I just bought this 95 Pathfinder with 130,000 miles on it last week for $1,200. Pretty good deal I thought. The interior and body are ok. I'm originally from NC and wasn't expecting so much rust on the frame. Buffalo stays snow covered 4-5 months of the year and the salt has eaten the frame away. I should have known.... anyway, for $1,200 I can still have a winter beater to get me to work. I might buy another vehice to customize next year. I built my 96 Tacoma nicely but bow I have 2 kids and wanted something we could all ride in. For the Tacoma I installed a rear lockrite locker, frot and rear Custom Bumpers (www.bentup.com) with Warn winch. 35x12.50 MT's with 6" of lift on 10x15's rock crawler rims. Smitty built step bar ... So I've been through this before with the Tacoma ... no frame rust at all ....I want to do the same thing for the Pathfinder ...just not sure if this frame can handle it. If I can get the frame cleaned up and repaired then I'll know.
  13. Thanks again for the warm welcome everyone! Anyone here from Buffalo, NY????
