  1. So i know that with a 3" body lift, my rear bumper will be 3" down unless i relocate it...

    1) Do i need to fab brackets to relocate it, or are there empty holes i can bolt it to?

    2) Do i NEED to relocate it?

    3) If i don't, how will my tire carrier latch? I suppose this answer will also answer #2

  2. When i bought mine, the previous owners didn't tell us that they didn't support the weight of it....

We ordered some from autozone, of which the ones for the glass didn't work, and so we have a working hatch, but not the glass part, it only stays up if your lucky and you get it all the way (still, id love to hear how this works!)

  3. http://www.racinglab.com/sparco-harness-3-...-2-bolt-on.html

So im cleaning out my pathy today, and it comes to me, that i could probably mount that harness via-

    - By removing that little latch that keeps the bottom portion of the seat latched in riding position and bolting down the top-most of the harness to that

    - Removing the lower seat part and then bolting the two side belt things on the two spots where the seat is mounted

Anyone tried this? Im concerned that it may not be safe, because i have heard they should be bolted to the frame.

  4. Im not sure about you guys

But my 91 XE seems well-equipped-

    Cruise C

    Tire Carrier

    Power Windows & Mirrors

    Rear Wiper & Defrost

    Power Steering

    Tilt Wheel

    Spoiler-like thing

    LSD

    Fog Lights below bumper

    Chrome Wheels

    Grey Interior

    Automatic and 4x4 hi & low, 2h

But no sunroof, roof rack, or brushguard stuff :(

  5. so then after i put 3" BL, 3" JGC/Torsion bar lift, UCA, Track bar Bracket, Calmini shocks, Grassparts CL..

Ive heard that it is very managable to fit 33's, but im a little split on rim/tire size

I have heard that 15" wheels will rub on brakes, but 16" do not...

And from what ive heard, 10" wide tires are basically a minimum, but can you put these on a 16"x8"? (i want cragars, and they do not sell 16"x10")

So with a 33"x10" tire, and 16"x 8" (5" bs), will I need anything else to protect against rubbing?

I was kind of aiming to keep my stock rims, to save the 300+ bucks (atleast until i can buy soft 8s) BUT, my current tires say 235/75/R15...but no matter how hard i look, i cannot find a single tire available with 33" diameter, that will fit on the stock rims, anyone have success?

  7. okie dokie!

so, heres a revised shopping list of sorts :S

(more for a 'these are the part classifications i need' than 'exact parts'

SL / UCA / Idler Brace

    https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=1952

    BL

    https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...products_id=277

    Steering

    http://grassroots4x4.com/index.php?page=sh...rt&Itemid=1

After some consideration, Im going to look into having the garage crank up my tortion bars, and spend some money on the steering fixes (steering system, UAC, idler brace, shocks, and some 3" lift rear coils)

  8. So ive spent a good hour using the search function, and ive learned a bit-

Mostly, i will probably be sending the parts, along with my pathy down the road the the car&truck modification shop, and having them do the labor..so im mostly looking for a specific list of everything i would need, right?

so far, i have found its like with jeeps, that over a certain lift height, you need to start doing other stuff like steering adjustments and such, so i compiled a wishlist of sorts in preparation, the actual project won't be for quite a bit, but i like having a game plan

    3" BL- https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...products_id=277

    3" SL- http://www.purenissan.com/wd21_3_kit.htm

Idler Arm Brace- http://www.purenissan.com/idler_arm_brace3.htm OR https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...?products_id=58

    Steering- http://www.purenissan.com/wd21_steering.htm

So, from what ive read, having a 3"BL and 3"SL will result in 33" tires? But 1 or 2 people said that this would result in rubbing, and i would need to trim my fenders (i cannot legally do that though)

    Suggestions/fixes?

    edit-

just found this package, and it looks like it could save me some serious cash, but is it of lesser quality?

    Welcome, BTW!!

    Will do :)

  10. Im Travis :)

Ive had my 1991 pathfinder XE for about 5 years, and i love driving it, but as you can tell via the username, its old, and slow.

Im up here in michigan *points to spot on hand*, have done some LIGHT offroading, none of which was in a vehicle of mine.

I have no kind of garage, but I do know people with them, but you won't see any fab coming from me or big renovations...

Sooner or later id like to replace my pathy's transmission, then suspension, then tires and such.... :)

Ive been looking FOREVER for this kind of site, i actually thought for a while that NOONE ever modified a pathfinder, and that nobody made lifts and such.

Im new to nissan (knowledge wise) and glad to be here, trust me, i got lots of questions :)

    ps-

ill post a pic of the pathy in a few, i gotta get the mem card outta my camera
