  1. Well, when I get back from Korea I'm gonna' do it with a little Vortec blower. Too bad I'll have to wait until then. I'm going to Moab in May before I leave though. I'll be there from April 29 to May 4. If anyone else is going to be there let me know and we'll do a ride or two.
  2. I'm starting to think about blowers. I'm helping my feind install one in his GT mustang and it seems pretty easy so far. Why couldn't you buy an aftermarket Vortec or whatever and run big pulleys so your boost is low enough not to hurt anything else? This way you're mounting it with a bracket and making all of your own plumbing which is easy. Seems like all someone would need after that is a good tune. ALSO, Why are the "old-timers" acting so bitchy about every stinking post? Drink some coffee, get a girlfriend, pet your cat... JEEZ!!!
  3. THat is so darn funny!! That's what I did for my rear lift exept I used an old tire that was put out in front of my neighbors house. I bought a Daystar 2" spacer and it didn't work then it just hit me about the tire in the front yard! A razor blade and a little time and you can get the exact lift you want. Mine's about 2" in the rear and 1.75" in front.
  4. So far, I've had the front sway bar disconnected and the only rubbing was on the front plastic shield thingy. I tried my hardest to find all of the faults I could with it out here in the Low Coutry swamps. I can't turn full so that's why I want different wheels. I'm sure that 15X8" wheels will rub the fenders a little though. Jjbigshoe, Cool idea on the snorkel. I really wanted to do away with any elbows if possible. I'm going to play with some pipe and see what I can do. BTW, I've gained 0.2 miles per gallon by adding that snorkel- That's gotta' mean something!
  5. I'm finally getting somewhere with my Pathy. And yes, I can't turn as tightly as before. Still need wheels!!!
  6. I was having the same debate with myself for a while. I just decided to buy 33x12.50's anyway because they look so good and Pathy's are a little ground clearance challenged in the first place. I've added a K&N with a snorkel (homemade, Ramair) and a turbo muffler so that should have added something in the way of power. You could add cams or gears for the same price roughly. Possibly you could add used Xterra gears for cheap. I'll start looking for some 4.90 XTerra gears next. That will make up the difference!
  7. Thanx finally, I have shopped around and dug into everything I can find and from what I understand 3.75"-4" is perfect for an 8" wheel. As of tomorrow I'll be sitting on 5"s of lift after adding my 3"AC body lift. Thanx, Nate
  8. I'm getting 33x12.50's now and can't tell what backspacing I need. I want to run a 15x8" black steel wheel. Some people have said 4-4.5", but they run different size tires than I have. The Calmini website states that 5-5.5" backspacing is recommended. That seems like it would be too tucked in. I don't want the tires to stick out very far but I don't want fender rub from being too close either. I saw a good deal on wheels from 4WheelParts w/ 3.5" backspacing. Will that be ridiculous tires sticking out? I need help- pics of your rigs w/stated backspacing, wheel size, and tire would help most. I also need a resource to buy from besides 4WheelParts. Thanx!!!
