  1. This one dude on CarDomain.com has something called bull-locks, but they require having two keys. They look pretty slick, though.
  2. Hmmm... not a bad idea. (scurrying across the interstate I mean)
  3. I figured it was different... I learn something new every day!
  4. It's very easy... my sister could install one. You can get remote starters for as low as $90, but usually the more you spend the better product you get. I would recommend Stinger. I have friends who have Stinger and brag about it. Target, Best Buy, and Circuit City sell basic and functional remote starters as well for around $100-$250. Also, as a side question: From what I understand, these only work with automatic vehicles with fuel-injection. What about us WD21 owners with throttle-body injection? Would it work? As for you, CanadianPathyNut, you should be fine. Good Luck!
  5. Ok, now I want to do this JGC spring thing in the back, but I only want one inch of lift (so I don't plummet the nose and also to hide it from my dad). 88 has posted that I may only get 1.5" out of them because of the extra doors and tire rack... good. But I still need another half inch less than that. If I lop off another 1/8 of a coil that should lower it about where I want it. Here's my problem: Will the springs fall out of their sockets?
  6. Yipeekieyae! I have an inch of lift in the front! Stop laughing, I swear it's a 1" lift.
  7. Just as a note... since my speedometer is off, so is my odometer. When I calculate MPG, it gives me 18mpg in the city. So maybe it could be the other way around for you? Just a thought.
  8. In response to hardwaretoad: Actually, I'm only going off second-hand knowledge. I'm going to measure it tomorrow so we can set ourselves straight.
  9. 2 inches. Well, 2 inches without replacing the torsion bars altogether with stiffer ones. 3 is being very ridiculously stupid- hope I don't offend anyone.
  10. I need a manual transmission, but I wasn't looking for a Pathfinder when I got mine- the deal just kind of showed up down the street. I'm still happy with it, though.
  11. I got my '95 XE-V6 4x4 for 3. But it took about 600 in repairs that we knew about before we bought it. I wish I had an LE like yours and a manual... oh man how I miss a manual (Prelude has been broken down for about 5 months now :sniff: ) Oh, the Pathfinder had 130,000 when I got it.
  12. You would have to do major fender trimming to fit 32's on an unlifted Pathfinder. Also, the stock chrome wheel size is 15x7- so even though it's still not the best idea to put 11.50 tires on, it's not going to be that big of a problem. I'd stick with 31x10.50 because the loss in power and gas mileage doesn't make up for the gained height and maybe traction. Basically, a 1 inch difference in tire isn't going to help you so much that it's worth the extra money for gas and the aggravation of power loss. Unless that's what you're into.
  13. I'm planning on cranking the torsion bars tomorrow. Roughly how many rotations does it take to achieve about 1 inch of lift. Will I notice the truck rise as I turn or is it more gradual than that? I only want 1 inch because I figure ball joints will wear less than if I did two inches, also I don't want my dad to notice a difference or he'll start bitchin' at me.
  14. If you have an aftermarket radio and you didn't go through the extra effort to cover any bare wires, like BigMike pointed out, you'll blow fuses fast. I blew the ignition fuse while installing my receiver. It wasn't a biggie, though.
  15. You have to remember that labor costs is about $1500 for an engine swap, so a new Nissan engine with labor might total around $3000.
  16. It's basically a "power-on-demand" button. That switch is dangerous... never leave it on. It takes the RPM's to redline every shift and you don't really need it unless you're trying to get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of time possible.
  17. Oh, have a heart! Lighten up a little bit! Did you know that when John Lingenfelter was alive he would only run with Borla? John Lingenfelter could make a Corvette jump from 0-60 in 1.97 seconds with 802 horsepower at the wheels! Lingenfelter is a god! If Lingenfelter jumped off a bridge, I'd jump right after him. If he runs with Borla, I'm sure as hell gonna run Borla! It's in the to-do list this year.
  18. Can I expect broken manifold bolts? Does that happen to everybody?
