I own a se and i must now find at least one pathy right away asap like tomorrow..... so i guessed mine was the top model but maybe i just got the best ops i have heated seats...leather int...31 inch tires stock....will my rims and tires work on the le,and xe, cause i noticed not many 31's on le or xe what all is the same if were talking comfort options or what and bonus i saw the post about the junkyard car with the npora stickers in the windows now i have to get some !! count me in im goin to read about them now ......................................... deal is i now need two pathys im gonna put my wife in one since we toasted a deer in the GT on the way home from my wifes college tonite we buried her other car christmas eve now all i can think of is getting two of the most dependable vehicles i know and can work on tada pathys came to mind.. so here i am to draw knowledge from the collective again.... resistance is futile

well how about i was under the hood with the pathy runnin' had just put new plug wires and stuff on it and for some reason i cant remember why ( some memory was probably lost) i decide to pull off the coil cover on my vg30 i knocked off the wire as i was pullin the cover up and blammity blam for as many times as it took for the motor to stop it was alot..... the gaps in my memory seem to coincide with each shock it gave me lmao very nice spark output on the oem equip lots of sparks too, that was before the msd ignition....almost didnt get it cause i was sure it was already shockin 6 times per plug anyways lol thats no where near as good as the ratchet thing....although by buddy came to visit me and brought his kayak..i was workin the first day so i told him where to fish and set it up with a local guide friend of mine to shuttle his frontier to the spot he would get out....my buddy calls and says something is wrong with the front end i get to about 30mph and it starts makin an awful racket...so he limps it to my place and i go and hear it too ....but cant get a complete fix on where its comin from but it seems to be coming from the front pass axel...so to fit it in the garage we take the boat off just fits under the door so we started to tear it down thinkin maybe the al hubs....nothin wrong we zipped her up and i said let me take her out so off we went....ran awesome no noise........ problem somehow solved so he gets up the next day loads the truck we say lates an all and he takes off down the road......he comes right back sayin its doin it again ohhhhhhhhh he has to drive a day then be back at work.....i say lets take her so i can hear it again everythings great 30mph yay....at jus before 45 it starts quiet but gets fast and strong but now from the drivers side???? as I slow it slows and gets harder sounding and as presise was saying I too have been around semis, farm and large equip, cnc lathes mills any thing mechanical lots of diff vehicles and couldent tell what it was it had a funny thump almost like a cvj or something so i set the cruise to 35 told him to grab the wheel and i lean out the window drivers side and can hear it like right under me so i lean out a little more and grab onto the rachetstrap holding the kayak onto the roof for steadiness......... ....................... ..................... the noise stopped we thought we had fixed it the day it happened (while i had thought the kids doing the shuttle decide to take my buddy frontier for a offroad test and jacked it up) but we had to take the kayak off to work on it then he put it back on to leave was all because of a few twists of the rachet strap without twisting it, if its flat it vibrated like hell.....and even fooled me...till i tried like an idiot to lean out a little further hell i couldent even tell with my head pokin out lmao........

hell i guess i didnt need to apologise since i never said that they needed to send that "granholm chick" back to xxxxxx, by stopping the next garbage truck she helped contract to bring refuse down there..... they need to toss her in one and refuse entry...lol but since i forgot to put that in i guess im ok....there is no way I could offend any redheaded canadian types (nor do i want to after she got all mad at me for "double posting" i think she might have used swear words at me too...it's all a little fuzzy....) and the "Granholm Chick"( notice how i ain't saying canadian chick)is one of the major contributors to our pathys being slaughtered lol( beside im sure they dont want her back anyway......see jus one person in a long line to point at for doing this to my vehicles extended family im not goint o let my truck know about the atrocities goin on even right now.... maybe to her whole generation the horror....

well it all started when all our major automakers stay in detroit....then they get a horrible governor no offense to the canadians here....especially pezzy.... michigan was or had the second highest paid state reps but the lowest in economy....as soon as the auto industry went under??? the goverment decided there was but one way to insure the auto makers could be able to make cars and sell them...so everyone if forced to buy the new ones that way the money gets paid back to the government with their interest....i have long wanted to move to canada......but last time i looked into movin all my stuff and horses (almost bout a big ranch near quesnel BC) it was too much hassle....looking not so bad anymore id rather live in britan under a monarchy at least i would only have one figurehead to point at...here it's beggining to look like all the politickers are a$$holes.....i held off on criticizing obama but this is a big boooooooo The day i am forced to drive some futuristic electric hybryidid vehicle so that people can fly around in jetplanes all day long and all night long....its gonna really hit the fan the day i am forced into someone else working on my vehicle ill still be cleanin up from the time before but....... after 9/11 was the only time it could be measured since recorded time and while most planes were grounded the temperatures were recorded and something amazing happened.....it was unbelieveable......who could have guessed what would happen?????????????????????????????????????????? im really not political, there are lots of diff reasons why things happen sometimes.....it's jus funny how it looks sometimes ya know???

that sh!t is unbelievable...........did you see the neverending list of cars on the side.....lol my truck has some rust but i been looking for a nice clean one like that!!!!!!107,000 mi AAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! like I said Someone Get A Rope!!!! i never thought that kinda sh!t would be what was happenning to the cars for clunkers....I thought it was gonna help me find one at a dealer easier WTF WTF WTFFF if that is what it was all about..............what is the world coming to???? that was like Blasphemy..... whoever came up with that idea......well round up the posse lol

red path 88 can probably help tell u what wires colors are i think he might have an fsm for the older ones i think i might like a copy myself... these pics are how i did mine...to test and make sure the resistor will work and the other bridged in dont get scared the pics aare a 300 z i think but the principle is the same let your ecm think the sensor is good u can see the wires go down under the mani pull that plug and see if sticking each end of the resistor gives you a 55 code

well kiddies it was that damn wire again jus corroded a little i took a dremel to it and cut a groove in the top of the one that was loose then soldered it in probably forever .......i made overhang like a dovetail joint and put the wire in that....shoulda done that the first time still both times it happened parked in that same spot the wife was last to drive it both times i was the one to have it not start lol..... My truck loves me....i think it's tryin to blame all this on the wife.... my wife is like a black cat to any vehicle she has lol she's car unfriendly or accident prone whatever maybe if i let my wife watch that stephen king movie about the car she wont even want to drive it anymore..after being framed both times it looks kinda bad lol Trout through the ice tomorrow, yay

Yeah im trying to do jus that lookin in areas with little precip or salt i did see an advertisement saying tht one was in Brazil it was a foriegn ministry car with 2500 miles kept garaged we all know or should know it probably would never show up unless i went there to either drive it back lol...(cood be serious cool vacay i always wanted to see the ruis of inca maya and aztecs) or ride with it on a boat back...well aback to reality ill never see tht truck besides the picture (it was gorgeous)they use to lure either money or maybe you for ransome hehe my adventure days are bout over but if brazil would be ok with lettin me take the wifes m4 i got her and my 45 and maybe a cool fedora and a bullwhip then i would seriously think about drivin it back past all the rebels and drugrunners and all that.. he he he ....worst part would probly be our border nowadays ...seems like i wouldent drive around down there at night any more...... theres killin by the handfull everynight over who owns the drug routes... think ill just keep on fishin and find one up here But could u imagine tht truck!!!!!! brand spankin new lol what a cool ride home tht would be if i wasent kidnapped and by the time anything major ever went wrong with it we'd have hovercraft upgrades by then....my insurance said its an antique lmao suits me fine ....ive rescued alot of my buddies who dint like my "jappy" ol "rice burner" he he... least mine tells me whats wrong with it...how much stuff isnt self testing??

well beep beeepy beep 30 secs it ran today and then it acted like it was missing for a few seconds then died im gonna take the hatch off in the back im guessing thats where the problem is gonna be i jus ordered the new sending assy interesting sidenote/backstory about 2 years ago this happened too...my wife got in it maybe drove it to work even...parked it next to the maple tree i went ou to get in it andit just cranked over.....i tested all the same things minus the vacuum press reg, and tested it to the back harness that the sending unit goes to. thats when somebody told me about tht hatch(I LOVE tht hatch) i popped the hatch and the power wire was pulled away from the pump ...now we all know there aint enough tension in jus that one wire....maybe something running for its life jumped up in tween the tank and the body but i couldent get my hand there...without the hatch.....it was corroded and i cleaned and soldered it back heavily..im betting its another wire or a 17 yr old pump, possibly the same wire loosened with ice freezing under the solder, we'll hope for just that. oh yeah once again she parked it there......lol....no probs since but its always in the back of my mind i might get to use my new fancy batt power solder gun out in the wilds and get another tesstament for my pathy gonna test the old one now and see if i can fix it again till i get this new one thanks fer so far

i might also add my starter was bad because it would slightly short out inside and cause the relay to not work i guess....i hope it works like it did for me if you have tht same relay there

bow tied may have put this one over the wall..... i have a printer and desktop now i used to jus look at the fsms on my laptop all the time gave me a headache(i hate technology ....really ...well a little) wow it real real cool to print off pages and have them in my hand out in the frozenness to look at i got alot colder not making those trips inthough i even felt like scouring through more of the fsm and saw the vac diag and long 2 short the hose was black dust on my hand ....new hose and bam...fired right up .......so tax money is here in a week so im ordering a pump and sending assy for 40 from a dry non snowy yard ...im not sure tht was the whole fix..my sending is corroded on top anyhow ill wait to move in to our new house this week...(hopefully)and i have a garage YAY well one here anyhew the one in MT aint doin me much good here more news to follow....beep... beep beep.. beep.......(hope not)

how u explained that was damn exactly how mine went dont even ask me hoe i found it before probly precise or 88 or one of the guys for sure when i changed tht relay it was fine for a year the next time it did it i bought a new starter with a ltw....hell i even forgot to take out the one i put in i marked the old one and put it in the relay box.....he he my multi meter says all relays dont always need the same exact voltage to operate but starter drains too much when bad and viola 15 times u hit the key bam it starts ....next time forget about it till next day...bam starts first time..... u would think that might discourage a fella.... naw...i love my baby and any funny quirks tht come along that may have me investing more time on the net and such tht i cuda got a degree lol

well i dint mean to quote that but to answer a little to all the posts like on the vg30 alot is almost identical till like 96 and then its like where did the ecm go under the passenger seat??? I was jus trying to use the knowledge of the Collective (sounds kinda like the borg or something lol) or where can i find out the years compatable in eng and trans I have a good friend i met at a graveyard lol since there are no nissan lots any where near me when the parts stores can't get it i usually head for the scrapyard hell the guy could show up unannounced for christmas dinner far as im concerned hehe

Ok the body style change in 99 was good but i kinda meant as far as the engine goes and what years were the engines the same in r 50's I say this cause i got a pretty tight grip on my model years my pathy is set up for outlasting the end of the world lol....I trust her to take me and get me home and she does I have a certain amount of parts i keep in truck basically all the belts coolin hoses 20 diff relays ect ect so i wanna also know which year is king survivor so to speak....hell I might get a 50 ya never know by the way thanx for all the input so far

what i mean is would a 2004 FSM cover all models and years down to 96??? like the 89-95 i use a 94 FSM i I am not at all familiar with 96 and up

he he yep u have to right clic and save as on each one ........when u have them all in one folder then u can click on the chap named FWD and it will show an interactive cover page with each chap on it.....

yeah i guess mine might be diff than a 90 but if you want a copy of the 94 and i can somehow send it to you then i will.....i use the hello out of it lol ps one of those relays above the fuse block by your knee operates the back hatch window opener lol i think its the middle one(blue) JFYI

one more thing ther are 2-3 relays to do with the ignition above the fuse box under the steering wheel,quick checks are always the thing to do before pulling parts look on page 75 in the EL section of yer FSM

yay.... well the blue one was the one tht has to do with starter, not always the prob but hey it could be....in mine it worked till i replaced my starter a year later,my starter was oem so it was bound to go check it with yer FSM to be sure on yer truck mine is 94

thanks so much,i have the gas model but that is the exact prob i have started having, gonna have to find out what causes it ....hell i talked to quite a few people about it and they all said the same kinda stuff "don't u mean OD?? blah blah nobody ever heard of a lock up torque conv ....lol but i could feel it and now i miss all the awesome mileage and i take so many fish trips that i can see the diff right away without it ,im gonna try it out as soon as i fix up my fuel pump and shes runnin long nuff to drive lol thanks P1

There is a relay i think it's a blue, right next to windshield fluid that can cause intermittant starter probs i had to replace mine and shes fine now I went to a local scrapyard and gleaned alot of those 20-30-40 dollar relays for 25- 50 cents apiece, they dont take alot of space i have them in a kids shoe box in the back at all times....... if your starter is starting to wear it might jus throw the relay out of whack i guess.....
