  1. Yep, don't mess with the turtle eggs, lol.
  2. Took her for a little spin today in the sand.
  3. BTW I ended up replacing the whole control arms instead of pressing in new bushings. I had to take a torch (mistake) to the bolts at the axle. I ended up cutting part of the bracket off . I then had to weld in a machine washer. I think the better approach would have been to use a grinder
  4. They were the easiest thing I've done so far. I ended up getting them at the dealer, but at a slightly elevated price compared to online. I will probably get the engine stuff at Pinnacle unless someone points me to a better place.
  5. Next on the list. I figure I'll try to do it myself. If I screw it up, well I don't want to think about that, lol.
  6. Your welcome! And there is a lot more to do, lol. The CV's wasn't to bad. Here is what I used along with this forum->
  7. Well I've replaced the steering rack bushings, rear lower control arms, and the front CVs. I also rotated, balanced the tires as well as an alignment. All I can say is what a great improvement in the way it drives. Dare I say like new?
  8. I'm just a little south of you. I'm in the process of getting my pathfinder up to snuff.
  9. I was wanting to do the same thing also. Actually I was thinking why doesn't someone sell them fully assembled?
  10. Thanks tekazgtr1984, My 97 has 206k miles on it. The steering does feel like it has play and it clunks when the steering wheel is moved left to right rapidly. Sorry for the thread jack. Ron
  11. Where did you get your bushings? I think mine need replacing. What are the symptoms? Thanks
  12. Maybe we could take them to Fort Fisher to the sand or Uwharrie.
  13. I'm 30 miles south of Fayettville NC.
  14. Well I've started the first step. Just ordered the Lower Control arms from Pinnacle.
  15. I know what you mean. I just want to spend as little as I can to keep it reliable and to make it better off road. But I think it might get harder to control my spending as time passes. I think the lift kit and some larger tires will be what the doctor ordered for me once all the suspension and maintenance stuff is done.
  16. I wouldn't even know what those look like, lol. Is a control arm and trailing arm the same thing?
  17. This is the stuff I have in my cart so far. I'll do the lift kit when my tires are toast. Is there anything I should add for the suspension? Pathfinder Front Lower Control Arm Front Bushings Pathfinder Trailing Arm Bushings CV Axle Assembly Trailing Arm Bolts
  18. I think it looks pretty good consider it has a 100k miles on it and thousands of miles of light towing.
  19. Here is a video of one of my lower links->
  20. I thought this might be one-> I'm sorry about all the newbie questions. But I'm looking forward to freshening her up.
  21. Does my pathfinder have a transmission cooler since it's the off road edition?
