sanford7575
I want to install an auxiliary tranny cooler and filter on my '91 Pathfinder and bypass the stock tranny cooler inside the radiator. However all of the instructions that I've seen posted on other sites have instructions for adding the tanny cooler and filter after the stock radiator. Not bypassing it, but actually using it, but adding the cooler to add effectiveness. Has anyone successfully bypassed the stock configuration and just used an aftermarket cooler and filter? If yes, can you post the instructions?
Diesel Boy
Yep, pull of both of the rubber hoses that go to the standard cooler and discgard. Mount the new cooler where ever you want it to be, run the hoses that come with the new cooler down to the cooler lines from the gear box and plug them in. Simple as that.
