rc_cola_j
Hey all! I have a 2000 R50 with a 3.3. I am at about 320,000km, running okay for the most part. I am trying to figure out and decide at what point do I stop putting money into repairs and save up money to buy a rebuilt engine for when the time comes. The question(s) is, would I stick with the 3.3, go find a 3.5, would a supercharged vg33ER from a Nissan pickup fit in a R50’sengine compartment? What other engine options and ideas are out there? I’m hoping to create a discussion here, find out what thoughts you have all had on the engine swap topic. Cheers! neilca
From what I have read, the bellhousings for the 3.3 and 3.5 are different. So you need to swap trannies too.

There have been a few Pathfinders with 3.5L engines at the wreckers around me. I’ll factor that into my cost calculations. Anyone else ever done this swap before?
