I had the Rancho 2.5" suspension lift on my '87 PF. I did not like it due the fact that I always have problems with the alignment... I have to lower the front end in order to align it... and the end result was not much lift at all. If you have the $$, go with the Trailmaster 4'" suspension lift (since you're going to use aftermarket rims anyway). If you must stick with UCA, go with Calimini if you can afford it. Also, you don't need to change the rims if you're going with the Rancho suspension lift. Here's the picture of my old old truck with the Rancho lift. Q2H

I have a '92 PF. The mileage varies from 14-22 mpg. If my wife drives it to her work (more city driving), it gets around 15 MPG. If I drive it (mostly freeway), it can get 20 or more MPG. My wife has heavier foot than mine... I've just installed a lift on my truck....running 33" tires... will definitely decrease my average mileage at least 2 mpg. Q2H

If you're talking about the lego rims, then there is no difference between the front and the rear. Like you said, the only difference is the wheel cover. Q2H

Thanks, mzxtreme! You're right that's a Durango in the background... Its ground clearance, approaching and departing angle isn't that great... but it has lots more power than my '87. Q2H

Good Morning, I recently joined the forum (even though I've been reading this forum for a long time) and would like to introduce my to everyone here at the NPORA Forum. My name is Quy Ho and live in Orange Couny, CA. I've used to own an '87 Pathfinder... (thanks to the tow truck, I no lonnger have it...) Here are a few the pictures of my '87 truck. Top of San Bernardino mountains, CA PF's rear PF's side view (park in front of my old house) Out with my daughter & brother and his kids in Angeles Forest, CA I replaced my '87 PF with '92 PF two and half years ago... I've transfered almost everything from my '87 PF over to my '92 PF except the Rancho 2.5" suspension lift. I'm planning to put the Trailmaster + Calmini suspension lift on my truck... (I'm in the process of saving and buying parts slowly). I don't have a picture of it yet... I'll post them as soon as I have some.... Anyhow, I don't work on my truck as much as some of you here... (shall I say I'm mechanical challenged ?) but I think I'm knowledgeable (with '87 - '95 Nissan PF) since I do lots of reading and researching. I do like to go offroading whenever I have a chance... (mostly in southtern CA mountains). I would love one day to travel through the Rubicon trail and hopefully some of you would join me. Anyhow, that's probably do it for now... Q2H

Hi, I'm planning to put the Trailmaster 4" along with Calmini 3" suspension lift on '92 PF and I would like to use Rancho RS9000x shocks... but Rancho told me that they don't make shocks for Nissan Pathfinder with 7" lift. Has anyone used the RS9000x with 6 or 7 inches lift ? If so, what Rancho shocks did you use ? If you did not use Rancho shocks, what shocks did you use and the model # ?
