  1. UPDATE Well my tank did have a skid plate but there are holes in the skid plate which is exactly where they drilled. The mechanic welded the 2 holes ....$200 ouch! I think I will find a way to cover up those holes on the skid plate.
  2. What I don't understand is why drill 2 holes.???? I really need to move out of NY I hate it here.
  3. ???? Is that how they steal gas???? If that was the case they didn't get much as like I said it was below empty. So now I don't know if someone hates me or someone just wanted my gas???? The mechanic is calling around junk yards looking for a tank or his radiator guy can weld it.
  4. UPDATE Just got a call from the mechanic and he tells me he's 100% positive that someone drilled 2 holes into the tank. Now I don't mind people not liking me but be a man and step to me, don't be a wimp and drill holes into my tank.
  5. I must admit am really on my last straw with this Pathfinder. So the story is and yes am guilty of leaving the gas level a little below empty and letting the truck sit for a couple days. So today I start her up and drive to the gas station well at about 5 gallons of gas into the the tank at the bottom of the gas tank it starts gushing out gas. So as it's freezing out I stick my hand between the skid plate and tank I can feel what seems like a quarter size hole. I just don't get it a week ago I put about 10 gallons into it and it was fine all week and then after the truck sits for a couple of days it develops a quarter size hole in it???? Heck it's only a 95 with 116,000 miles on it, you mean to tell me the gas tank rusted out, that's pathetic. I had to leave the truck at the gas station for there mechanic to look at it which am not very comfortable with as I don't really know the guy. So any insight, thought or opinions is as always appreciated.
  6. Mine vibrates also when doing over 75MPH. I really don't think the WD 21 likes to go any faster then 75 MPH
  7. LOL I'm sorry I forgot your a female. Thanks
  8. Slick I really hope so! Thanks Buddy I have a funeral to go to and would really hate to get stuck.
  9. I wish it wasn't so cold out so I can look into this further but to answer I both feel and hear the vibration. To give more detail if I'm in drive gear the vibration is slight but if I go into neutral the vibration goes away. The vibration is at it's worst on start up and when going over a big bump. It does have a metal on metal sound to it. Thanks for the help!
  10. I have this weird issue where when I initially crank the engine over there is a weird vibration for about 2 seconds and then it goes away. This same vibration will also occur when going over big bumps. The vibration seems to be coming from under the driver's side floorboard. The bushings on the tension bar is shot but there is no loose play in it that would cause this vibration, so I'm a little puzzled.
  11. I don't know am a pretty strong guy and that lever doesn't seem to want to move, I don't want to force it and break something???
  12. I read all the shifting into 4 wheel threads but I have to admit after owning my 95 over a year now I never needed to go into 4 wheel drive and never tried. Well today for @!*%s and giggles I tried moving the shifter into 4hi and it won't budge. I did have the regular shifter in neutral. The truck was stopped while I attempted this. So wondering what might be causing this or what am I doing wrong?
  13. LOL the aerodynamics on the WD21 is a joke, I was all over the road especially when behind those 18 wheelers. I'm sorry but Pathfinder's don't top the charts when it comes to comfort, heck it's a truck frame. I love my Pathy but if I had to drive from NY to Florida again it would be in a Cadillac CTS or something.
  14. In my 95 I drove from NY to Florida 1500 miles and it took 24 hrs of driving and a maximum speed of 90 MPH. I had no problems but wouldn't do it again, the Pathy is not really designed for long open road travel.
