Guest hjc
sorry havent posted in a while. Just recieved my service manuall for the 91 pathy.right out of the service center. I think its the crank angle sensor, ran ecu mode 5 real time got nothing, but when I increase rpms it gives a code for the crank sensor. I am now trying to find one cheap. If anyone need any info on the 91 I would be happy to give it.This manual is pretty detailed. Thanks for the help will let you know when i get the distributer. If it's not the c.a.s., do the 02 sensor test again, but this time unplug it when it's cold like the start in the morning and then drive it until the engine is up to temp. When cold, the 02 sensor runs in open loop like '88 said and will then go to closed loop after the engine gets to temp. A bad 02 sensor will cause engine miss firing, hesitation, bucking and also backfiring if driven on the highway for a period of time.
