mudfinder Posted June 10, 2005 Share Posted June 10, 2005 hey, guys, a buddy of mine has a 03 frontier 4x2. the front suspension is totally similar to ours. well, he has problem. when he has his making a turn, he gets this nasty cracking, squeking sounds comming from the i believe a arms. i know, ours do that too, but it's not the same, sounds more nastier. any ideas? derogate Posted June 11, 2005 Share Posted June 11, 2005 It probably isn't but it never hurts to get the easy things out of the way first. did you check the steering stops if they have them? my pathy was making a creeking/cracking/popping noise while turning too because the plastic covers for the steering stops had come off. Some grease fixed it right up, for now anyway. I dont know much about these vehicles yet, but its worth a look see right? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mudfinder Posted June 12, 2005 Author Share Posted June 12, 2005 you're right, the majority of the creaking, squeaking, cracking, popping noise was comming from the steer stops, besides that, he has a very minor squeak from the UCA but was fixed by greasing it up.
