Top out with AC lift springs

Hey all, just joined but been lurking for a while and appreciate all the knowledge and advice that’s gotten me this far.

So I did the typical 2” lift on it, AC lift springs in the front with KYB struts and LR springs in the rear.

what I’m having an issue with is the top out on the front struts, basically just hitting max extension and making it sound like my front end is about to explode over washboard roads or potholes.

curious if anyone has done like a 1.5” spring in the front with a small strut spacer to keep things level with the LR springs? I don’t want to be blowing up CV joints from having too much travel but the top out is just too harsh…

any recommendations would be appreciated! I’d post a picture but can’t seem to upload it with the size requirements…

That's common the the AC springs. Even when settled, they still top out.

Which 1.5" spring are you referring to? I would not go above a 1" with any lift spring. The chances of binding the axle will increase and you will destroy them.

I was thinking the Dobson(1.3”) or Ironman(1.5”), plus adding a spacer to get closer to that 2” mark… love the ride height just can’t deal with the top out. Maybe even the OME/ARB HD springs?

The ironman springs do not provide the lift they advertise. A few people have been disappointed with them. The dobinson are about the same as the OME.

With that said, even with a 1" spacer on top, you will not get perfectly level unless you have some weight on the rear.
