Headlights won't turn off automatically on "auto" position of the switch.

Hi guys

Please help here:

The headlights on my Pathfinder 2004 stay on after I quit the vehicle, when the lights switch is on "auto" position. They come on and off normally when I get in the dark areas, but they refuse to shut off after I leave the vehicle. Kind of a "timer" somewhere that doesn't work anymore...

I found this when my battery got emptied...

I replaced the lights' module 28575-5W100, but the trouble is still there. There is a relay somewhere, or there is a programming mode for the timed shut-off? Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences.
