I yanked the trans due to what I thought was a rear main seal leak and it looks like it is indeed leaking but there's this off hex drive circular bolt thing above the output and there's oil pooled under it, anyone know what this is? Its possible the spinning crank slung the oil onto it but I'd like to know for sure before putting it all back together. Here's a link to the picture on imgur.
